Here is the question:


Find the smallest number which when divided by 24 and 36 leaves a remainder of 11.

Solution given by the book:
LCM: 2X2X2X3X3
=8X9=72

Thus, require number = 72 + 11 = 83

Can explain to me why need to add the 11.

departure from outward office of exchange (GUANGZHOU) : 21/3

Estimate to recd : after 16/5

The lead time is more than 10 weeks!

I think the lead time mention in DD (4 to 8 weeks) is calculated after the items left GZ. Their shipment is via surface mail, that is why it takes so long to reach singapore.

My 1st order depart from GZ on 21 March, I received it on the 13 May, which is about 8 weeks.

Postman came at 1pm and I have received my items. :celebrate:

I too have ordered from Dang Dang on 5 March, goods sent from Beijing on 8 march and ship out from GZ on 21 March. I have yet to receive the books. I guess both of our orders are in the same shipment.


My status indicated on dangdang.com the goods are delivered and received too. I have contacted DD regarding this and here is their replied:

Same here. I also have one order ship out from GZ on 21 March and yet to recd.

Good news, just check signpost.com website regarding my items, it shows that \"Item received at registered mail section on 12 may 2011\". Hopefully will be receiving the items today or by next week.

I ordered at dangdang.com and goods sent from beijing on 8 March. Then I checked my status today and it indicated on dangdang.com that on 7 May, the goods are delivered and received. But I had not received anything. I only have the article number.

Do you know what I can do about it? I sent dangdang.com an email for explanation already Anyway to check and retrieve the goods in Singapore?
