Hihi
I am staying at Goodview too and my DD & niece are both in SAPS P1 this yr but I think different class with Mowmow's boys since her class dun have twins. My dd also went through balloting to get in. I was panicking when 40 out of the 60 plus seats have been taken up and my dd's name hasn't been called during the balloting process
. Really stressful, in my mind I regretted din join the RC :x which my BIL did and my niece registered in phase 2B. Thankfully luck on my side my dd's name was finally picked :celebrate: . Happier then strike 4D! Now I dun have to worry for my DS when it is his turn to register in 2010.
Having said all, I read in the forum that SAPS might relocate as they need another building in order to go single session. I was
that Swiss Cottage Sec relocate to make space instead
If SAPS relocate too far away, I would probably register DS in Princess Elizabeth Pri where I am a former student but the only pain is got to travel.

Hi Phantom aka chief,
I saw this picture showing the student and teacher holding the award on the computer at the center, didn't really find out what kind of award they got. :oops:Picolo:
Thanks Phantom.
Understand that the branch is relatively new. What award did the student win and do you know how long was the student trained by this teacher (presumably the ctr mgr too)?
But you can go to the center to take a look
haha..maybe we all kena bluff by these pic. At the competition last weekend, seems like each branch will have a \"Best teaching\" award given to a teacher.
Anyway, I keen to know how's yr gal progressing in Bukit Batok CMA. Any good teacher to recommend? My 5 yo can't join the Pandan Valley classes as the owner's class are full and I am not considering the other teachers. -

Hi PreciousmomHi all,
Jurong safra has recently opened and there is a branch of CMA in there. I am thinking of enrolling my 3.5yrs old gal in there and this Fri will be doing the assessment and this sun will be her 1st trial lesson... Anyone has kids enrols there? Any comment so far? Thanks!
I was contemplating to enrol my 5 yo at Safra Jurong CMA as it is offering a 15% off first term fees and subsequent 8% off term fees for Safra members.
My 7 yo is attending the class with CMA Pandan Valley for 2 yrs. They can only offer 8% sibling discount for my 5yo. If both kids with Safra Jurong CMA I will enjoy 8% off for both of them.
I changed my mind after speaking to the teacher at Safra Jurong CMA. The teacher has taught 4 mths at HQ Yishun. She is non-local and I think my kids may not been able to understand her english as there is some accent in the way she speaks. Having said that, if it is the Principal Brenda or Wei Ming's class, it should be good. As far as I understand, Wei Ming is only teaching Sunday 9 am class and his son is in the class. Brenda is not taking any class now. 9 am is too early for my 5 yo. One more thing is that they only have foundation class at Safra Jurong. No point switching my 7yo.
There are a lot of China teachers in various branch, including Pandan Valley. I was given the impression that the owners are trying to recommend new students to these teachers class. Personally I still prefer the classes taught by the owners, probably due to their experience and dedication put in. -

But they dont have any branch in the west area.

Hm, I have seen icreativelearner along Jalan Jurong Kechil (near Toh Tuck estate) which is in the west. But I guess this branch does not offer preschools programme but they do conduct for classes for lower primary.

RE: Comparing Pre-school English Reading and Phonics Enrichment
Hi caroline
Which time slot is your son attending? My gal is with Zoo phonics BT too. She is with Teacher Haslina Sunday morning 11 - 12.30 pm Wise Owl. I can see that she has made vast progress since she started Young Joey a year ago. We are a mandarin speaking family and her english isn't too fantastic. I am impressed that she can write simple composition now and attempts to read, not only story books but any sign board/flyers wherever we go!
Hi mummies
My 2 kids are with Zoo phonics BT branch too. Teacher Reen used to teach my boy at Zoo toddlers & Inny inchworm. She is really good. Her warm and lively character make lesson fun and vibrant. I love the zoo phonics theme songs & the songs they played in zoo toddlers class. Very catchy tunes. However, it is a pity she has decided to stop weekend lessons and only teaching at Zoo phonics Thomson branch weekday class. I have not seen the website being shared here so I thought whoever interested may take a look here:

Oh by the way, if anyone need referral do PM me. I do remember they have a sign up gift for those with referrals. In return, the referer will get a $20 fee voucher :D. -

Hi Zack
Have you signed up at Pandan Valley? Who will be your childβs teacher? Personally I find Teacher Matthew and Audrey is pretty good. These days seems to have quite a few new teachers. -
RE: CMA Math - Discussion
My gal is with CMA Pandan Valley for a year. Parents do be prepared that CMA has quite a fair bit of homework each week. Kiddo are expected to practise their abacus. For those who are interested in CMA, this is their website:
http://www.cma-sg.com/
However, I have heard from my SIL that abacus may not be good for the child as they can easily work out the sums mentally and tends to skip the workings in sch test/exams which accounts for marks. Is that true? I am hestiating whether to send my younger boy to the class if that is the case.
