    • RE: Brand of Ground Coffee

Thanks! I will probably try all of them one after another to see what I like best. Janet, do you have the address for the shop along Bukit Timah?

Oh... also buy from their outlets right? But thanks... I didn't know I could buy their coffee to make at home.

Just to confirm. TCC retails at NTUC? Or we buy their ground coffee from their outlets.

Can anyone recommend favourite coffee blends from NTUC? Which brand should one buy to get a good brew with a Coffee Press Pot and why?

Oops after reading this thread, feeling extra conscious of the half a tub of B&J icecream I ate last nite...

Does anyone know of such a thing as low carb noodles? What are they made of?

Think you are referring to Shirataki noodles. They are made from elephant yam. You've most probably eaten it before without even realising what it is. You can find them in Sukiyaki, you know, that grey looking springy mass of tang hoon looking thingy. That is shirataki noodles.

Thanks for this! Now at least I have a name to ask around with.

      Funz:
Since my kids started their morning session this year, I have been waking up at 5.30am and after sending them off, I will do about 1hour of brisk walking or jogging. Now that the holidays are here, I think my exercise schedule is at risk!

You'll have a different kind of exercise running after your kids?

She is slim like a bean… with the curves of a mamalicious bear. Goddess! When her trainer is through with me, I hope I look like a goddess too.

Oh dang! Now I am stuck. Should I starve myself to longevity? Or eat myself to shortevity? Hmmmmm… I think I’ll just go with declining bran muffins.

    • RE: Where to buy a Christmas tree?

After shopping around, I got mine last year from Spotlight over at Plaza Singapura... We bought one with PVC needles as in the Number 2 of the needle types enumerated here - http://www.balsamhill.com/Understanding-Different-Artificial-Christmas-Tree-a/163.htm

Spotlight was a convenient one stop shop for the rest of the stuff too... from decorations to lights. The range of lights was good too.
