Schools on the whole are rather pushy now, with MOE pushing hard on principals and HODS to produce results. Neighbourhood schools are are also trying to outdo each other in the same area for eg Bukit Batok, or Choa Chu Kang. They use one another's past year exam papers to let their students practice.

My son is in Pei Hwa, which is a SAP school...meaning Higher Chinese and English are 1st languages. Higher Chinese is compulsory from P1.

You are right, we should ensure children's foundation are right
and pretty solid prior to introduction to P1 activities. :celebrate:

concern, why not just call the school to find out? I'm sure if it is happening for next year, the school will definitely be able to inform parents of potential students.

I have called the school. The admin staff said there was no confirmation. We need to check the MOE website for further updates.
