Is it I need to have 20 post here in this thread I created then I will get more points? I saw some newbies thread, the members try to help new member to read 20 posts. :rahrah:

You can post anywhere to increase your post counter, not necessary must post in this thread.
Why do u need more points, is it for creating new threads?
Usually if i need to pose questions, i will search for threads that are related to my questions and look for answers there. If i don't get the answers that i need, then i will use tat thread to pose my questions. So u need not create a new thread to pose questions.

I also let my kids wear pull up pants at night when they were toilet training.

When they were not able hold their urine while sleeping, they will wet their pull up pants.
As they grew older, they will be able to hold their urine while sleeping and u will find that their pull up pants were dry most of the time.
Sometimes, they will wake u up at night to accompany them to toilet. But most of the nites, they will sleep thru.

• RE: Are Singapore students too stressed out?

We also did not bring our kids to overseas trip until last year. It is my kids' first trip to overseas last year.

Some kids could be stress bcos they cannot keep up with the homework piling up from both the tuition center and school. Or they could be busy with going to tuition and keeping up with doing homework assigned from sch.
i heard from my kids that a classmate told the teacher in sch not to give them homework as he has tuition today. Poor kid.
Heard from my kids that some of their classmates always do not submit their homework to their sch teachers.

For my kids, i will tell them to try their best before going for their exam. If they make mistakes, we will go thru with them to find out the cause of their mistakes. Just want them to learn from their mistakes and not repeat them again. If it is a careless mistakes or misinterpretation of the question, then ask them to be extra careful next time.

For asssessment books, the mistakes that they make are for them to learn, not to penalized them. But i need to be able to identify if my kids are focus on their work or not, before i start scolding them on the poor work done.
if we know what is missing gap or wrong answering technique, then usually we will keep emphaising to them on and off. Very naggy but still got to do it.

This method works for my kids but may not work on others.

i can feel your happiness and satisfaction by the cake making session. The feeling of satisfaction when you see the end result of your creation is great. I know that feeling. :rahrah: :please:

• RE: What is your dinner?

Jennifer:
FB555:
Yesterday dinner was porridge with Sunday leftover chicken and stir fry Chinese spinach

Today dinner is pan fry sliced pork in dark soya sauce and Chinese spinach in chicken soup with wolf berry.

Jennifer
What do you normally add as ingredient(oyster sauce?) for stir fry spinach. This vege has a bitter taste. How do i make it more tasty for younger child? Thanks for sharing

Today's dinner were lotus root with pork rib soup, stir fry 豆苗 and bake nuggets.

I find Chinese spinach sometimes have a bitter taste too. Not always. Hubby says vegetables with too much pesticides tend to be bitter, I dunno how true.

My children just eat whatever I cook, though will complain a bit here and there šŸ˜‚

I add a little Woh Hup abalone sauce to the cooked veg before dishing up (I use a dessert spoon with a long stem to take the abalone sauce out from the bottle).

The Chinese spinach I bought last Sunday was not bitter at all. So there was no issue from ah boy šŸ˜‰
Jennifer, thanks for sharing. šŸ˜„
I am more confident to try it out now.
I am going to buy spinach tomorrow. Hope my picky eaters don't get too shock. šŸ˜‰
