I have made concurrant bookings of different hotels for the same day of stays on booking.com a few times. No issues with concurrant bookings. Just check the terms and conditions carefully before you book especially on prepayment and cancellation charges.

If the formula for funding has changed whereby the IP grant has been removed, does it mean the government IP schools have also suffered reduced funding? There is no mention on changes for the non IP schools’ funding.

That's what I'm interested to find out too. Of course must compare apple-to-apple, if it's comparing TOC for 4yrs 'O' level track vs 6yrs IP track, should highlight the diff in duration.

I am interested to know what is the per capita MOE spend per IP student at an independent school versus the per capita spend per student at a government IP school. If I understand the ST articles, they should be the same. What are the differences between the IP program in independent schools vs the Government IP schools? Why are the monthly fees differences ($300+ vs $20+) so huge for both types of IP schools?

I think MOE must engage a PR firm or make their PR department works better. Recently all the changes startled parents. No explanation given. There was no formal announcement about adjustment in PSLE difficulty level and now this. MOE said ST's news was also inaccurate. Didn't ST clarify with MOE before publishing the news? It was the headline yesterday so it is unbelievable that ST didn't clarify with MOE. :faint:

Maybe MOE can allocate some funding or raise funds from KSP to engage a PR company. Instead of reducing stress, it is causing more stress to concerned parents.

I agree that MOE should relook into its communications dept as the recent news from them have been more confusing then enlightening. The confusion is bad as the speculations causes anxiety and concerns. If they were more forthcoming, perhaps parents and public would understand the rationale and be more supportive of the initiative.
