    • RE: Travel: Australia - Perth

      hi,

thanks for previous advice…now i need some advice if you are familiar with the place…
i have shortlisted 3 home, but not so sure if it is near city as we are not driving probably…and we are taking evening plane, and check out is 9.30am, what can we do in the last day if you had been there…is the airport big for shopping? not sure how to put our luggage.

      Questions:
      1. which home to choose, personally prefer home 2.
      Home selection:
      1, Penthouse apartment:North Lake Road, Alfred Cove,WA6154
      2. Home:Victoria park\t
      3. Home:Camp court, Leeming

2.what to do on last day as evening flight.
3.where to put luggage in the last day morning
4.ETA, visa: did you apply via easy ETA or their immigration web? as i checked immigration web costs AUD20 per pax while easy ETA is abt SGD10?

      Thanks for your time

      Hi,

I am planning for a family trip to perth, 5 adults and 2 kids. (6D5N) in June 2014.

      Parents (63 years old)
      kids: 8 and 5
      Others 25 - 40

Still thinking if should follow tour or free and easy? can you pls share your thoughts? As not sure if my father at 63 years old, will be able to drive in Australia, though at the moment, he is driving at Malaysia.

And, do we need to wear thermal wear during that time or wind breaker/jacket will do? worry if kids and parents are able to take it.

Thinking to bring the kids for penguin, dophin…

      Thanks

      1. i am sitting in the middle role bah; 3rd of 4th; i am rather dissappointed intead of angry. where did u sit?

      2. had feedback to principal when we submitted registration closed to cut off time, around 3.30pm.(in term no of pvs, and might even share to those if like us 1-2km, might consider twice if want to do pv…)

      3. waitlist: yes, got to wait till 2c is over; talked to registration manager again today as saw 2 more seats for 2cs; from past years, nobody withdrew before P1. So, we dont have chance i think. (but no harm submit it)
      4. where did you register ur child then? need to ballot?
Already registered girl at geylang methodist, dont need to ballot; past years need to ballot, may be SC over PR did help us a little bit.

Sigh, wrote a long comments but hang and all gone.

1.no criteria for pv; think they take abt 60; think not based on number but based on cut off date.
2.from past years, can see that ballot is required for pv starting from tis year and i think it will discourage 1-2km to apply as pv.
if i were the paretns now, will think twice before applying; as heart pain really with all efforts and time gone. (though already know it no guarantee for the seat)
      3. btw, had also provided feedback to principal when i went for registration at 2b on 7/20; suggestd if they want to set some criteria for pvs, and might even share with pvs before hand that from past exp, 1-2km, really stand a lower chance.
As from this year can see, 90% are taken up by SC PV within 1km.
If i fail in ballot for 1-2; dont even have chance to try 2c.

      4. will have to register at other school today; most likely geylang methodist which is also 1-2km for us, just hope that have chance to ballot.

i was one of the unsucccessful PV this year; 41 seats taken by SC PV within 1km. left only 5 for 1-2km to ballot.

And, knew that some PVs withdrew; think 2 withdrew (they are within 1km).

So; i guess coming year, even 1km need to ballot bah…and for us stay within 1 to 2km, no need to consider abt Hws lor … (to be frank, this was how i feel)
