Actually today I read the newspaper article about this and I feel sad. I know of a close friend who is PR. The increase of $50 per child will be significant to her. And it is not that she and her husband does not want to convert to citizen.

And I am sure there are more of this kind of cases.[/quote

Just curious, what is stopping your friend from converting to citizen then?

Hi, one of them just got the PR recently, and it is only after appeal by MP.

      TSL:
      Hi 3greatkids,

      Thanks for your advice.
Actually I had checked on MOE website that I can use the Sales & purchase agreement of The Canopy EC to register in Yishun.

Yes. I know that the chance of transferring to Northland after P1 study in Pasir ris primary is very low. That's why I'm in dilemma whether to try my luck on Northland during Phase 2C.

But the problem now is sending/fetching issue.
Hi TSL, you can try putting her in student care near Northland or hire a nanny near Northland until Canopy is ready for moving in. But which means every morning its a mad rush from PR (home) -> Yishun -> PR (office)

I am looking for one too at woodlands/yishun... any good one to recomend?

Check out Steup at Yishun Safra. Nice envt. They even have cookig class the day I drop in. But price is highr (holiday even charge higher), and they close at 6.30pm which might be too early for working parents.

      These are home based classes?

No, these are not home based classes, they have their own outlets/branches. They are group based though (ie, each class have a few students).

    • RE: MOE Relooking P1 registration - Too much priority to alumni

I just called MOE hotline and asked if there's any updates as to when the new policies for P1 registration kicks in.

CS replied, \"Hold the line please and let me do a quick check if there is any information on this yet.\"...(waited almost 3 min)..
\"I am sorry, there is no information yet. Pls call again in end May or early Jun. There will be more information by then.\"

I guess it will be release just in time before P1 registration but may not be a major change though.

Then....don't think will affect 2006 child reg this year? By June, PV for 2012 intake will have fulfilled their hrs! šŸ˜“

Anything, so long as they announce before phase 1, can be implemented and made effective. Imagine if they scrap PV priority with immediate effect - I just told my friend this afternoon that I would cry if that happen .

      Hi leo,

Sorry I guess none of us asked that question during the PTC cos everybody was kan chiong over how the marks, exam, ranking, remedial classes...etc. would be.. šŸ˜“ But i signed up as a PSG member so maybe I can ask. Oh...did I mention that they already have remedial classes for P1 students for all subjects? Maths, Eglish and MT.[/quote]Remedial classes for P1 students??? :scared:

Think if there is no news so far it will mean that it will not going single session next year... thanks...

    • RE: 2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take

Posting here because, somehow, I am unable to post new thread in the Primary School thread.

I have heard from some other parents that schools are , internally, informing parents of existing students if their schools are going single session in the later part of this year, or in 2013.

However, googling did not give me any results from MOE.

As such, will appreciate if parents of existing students from any schools who have received such notices to let us know here? Think all KS parents with kids would like to receive this earlier news for our KS planning šŸ˜›

Moderator, pls move to the Primary school section if this is more suitable there. Thanks!
