There's a road run at the Marina Barrage this Friday. Wondering why transportation is not provided from the school to destination? Can seniors also advise if this is a full-day or half-day event?

Shuttle bus service is provided from Marina Bay MRT station to Marina Barrage though. From the schedule I received, the event ends at 11.30am.

      :thankyou:

      Hi

can someone shed some light on the various class positions that the students can run for? DS told me there are posts for president (is it similar to class monitor?), IT champion, subject reps, NE ambassadors (?what’s that?)… but when i asked what the responsibilities were, he was just as clueless.

Hi, my DS will be joining JH1 next year. Have some questions regarding the CAFE. DS plays the violin. Can he join the String Orchestra? Noticed that the the String Orchestra is not listed under the Performing Arts (as stated in the briefing slides to JH1 on 20th Dec).

Yes, he can join the string orchestra. My child joined from the start of JH1 while going through 3 terms of CAFE CCA as well. The first performance with them was already during the NJC arts fest in April.

You can contact the Teacher-in-Charge Ms Tang about this.

I'll send you a private message.

      Thanks, Phankao.

    • RE: Travel: Korea - General

      Hi

I’d like to go on a 6D free and easy to Korea in early Dec 2011. Main objective is to bring 10-yo boy to try out the ski resort (for say, 2N stay). Plan to go direct to ski resort, then to Seoul as base for shopping, and may be day trips from Seoul.

Any ski resort / day trips to recommend?

      Regards

hmm… I also want to visit Korea !

But problem is, since i got school-going children, can only go during Jun or Dec hols. Will be either too hot or too cold. Any one keen to share if i can cover korea in 5 days, say either during mar or sep hols (i love the spring and autumn)? Which are the must-see places?
