Hi dimitri-can, need your advise on the best way to travel from Narita to Karuizawa.

There are 2 legs to the journey i.e. Narita to Ueno/Japan Stn, and to Karuizawa.
Should I get the flexi 5day JR East? Or what are the alternatives?

      Thank you.

You can refer to the below for your answers.

Hi dimitri_can, thank you for the link. I have also dropped you a PM.

Haha.. Not even if someone offers me 1 mil for 1 more extra kid that I have now.

Too much responsibility, tiime and effort r needed to make sure a child grows up well.

1 mil for every kid? Where do I sign up?
      Would a football team suffice?

If I could turn back the clock by 5 years, I would. But that's me. Throw in $1M would lighten the load. Now that we have gone through PSLE, we know it's not as bad, and know how to deal with it. However, DH would never agree.

What I don't understand is why the parents or adults whom he is staying with not monitor what he is doing especially after he come out from remand? Can't they take away his computer, handphone i.e. blocked his access to the internet? He is not studying, not working - he should not have such privileges.

Actually he is only 16 and his parents still have every right to control...but we don't know what is happening at home.
If my kids misbehave, the first thing I will confiscate would be their mobile phones, iPad and Internet access...something very important to them. I will always remember what my son's doctor told me 15 years ago...we control the child and not allow the child to control us.

Likely too little, too late for parental intervention now. I say, let him fend for himself, and take care of bread butter issues. At the moment, he is too free. How did the proverb go again, an idle mind ...

Heard this from a friend who said she heard it at her church. People are hired for their ability, but fired for their character. I quite agree.

      Good one! :rotflmao:

    • RE: Former RGS student claims she was bullied, sues school

I have been reading all your sharings and following this case. I still don't know what to make of it. :? To sue or not to sue? What's the motivation?

If I were the parents, what's my stand? I tried putting myself in Cheryl's shoes, with the little official information that's in the news.

Think if my child were in her position, I would likely advise her to move on. Can't forget, never mind. Forgive. Because it's easier on oneself. It's part and parcel of life. A life lesson. The rest of the people have moved on, don't be stuck in that dark period.

oic.... so he's not pursuing further? wonder what can he do with his O level? youtube stars....

Stopping at o levels won't get him anywhere.

With O levels and at the same age, he is already better educated than Elim Chew (77th Street), David Gan (Passion) and Chef Sam Leong. He is also as well educated as Charles Wong (Charles & Keith). At this rate, he's probably going to be as famous, if not more famous, than all of them.

I'm quite sure the above (not sure about Amos) will also tell you that there's plenty of things we can do with only O levels.[/quote]Hope that Amos finds himself, and be comfortable with himself. Pray that he doesn't need to hurt, poke and belittle others in the process. Let's not feed his angst and make him infamous. Ignoring him helps a lot.

Sure, he can eke a living, he can be successful. For his sake, hope the path will be longer to give him time to mature and reflect along the way. Since he has chosen to step out of the tried and tested route, he better be prepared to swim against the tide, eat many humble pies, and get some hard knocks along the way.
