      Haha...same here!
Fairfield and Henry Park both 1-2km within my house...but for 2c..we all know it's no chance for us!
Ya! So near and yet so far! And for these 2 schools, I can only go for phase 2C which I will not try at all!

Do you have any recommendation? All other schools are out of 2km.. haiz
Sometimes this school thing is a big joke! I have Fairfield 1-2km from my house. No chance. Henry Park 1-2km from my house too. No chance! New Town will be backup for me if my gal really so suay at 2A2 and 2B. But 2B school very far away and student care is a problem cos no school-based one, must find outside the school. Sian.

You are 1km from NYPS applying for 2C?

For other schools, do you need student care after school? School bus? You will need to consider these as well.

Haha. If I fail to get into Nyps next week, I'll head for Chij!

How about boys ? Is bukit timah pri a good choice ?[/quote]If you are aiming for NYPS at 2C, and turns out unsuccessful, then the choices left for 2C supp would be rather limited. In this case, it's not so much whether the next school you choose is good or not, in my opinion, rather it's about whether you can secure a space in a school that is not so far away and you don't mind sending your kid there. I'm sure there is something good about every school. Good choice? Depends on your expectations, I suppose.

I think it’s going to be very small. Just sold my 5-rm which has 3 big rms and 1 study (can be room too) and 2 toilets. 122sqm. Which I think is a just nice size for 1 set of grandparents, 1 couple and maybe 2 kids. If want, can put a maid in comfortably too!

    • RE: Marriage In Trouble...Should I give up?

Hi Mummybaby, be strong and be clear with your direction that you intend to take.

For me, I have already given up. 15 years.
Discovered EMA last Nov, and he pinned all the blame on me and even criticised me for not earning more to support the family. I’m a FTWM. He didn’t want to go for counselling cos he’s afraid it would embarrass me! and of course, in between, lots of nonsense and emotional exchanges.

Long story short, I got my mother to support my decision and in march, I served him d papers under unreasonable behaviour, put my 5yo dd in full-day cc and moved out of my home. Kicked everyone out in fact. Sold it in Apr. Sold the house because I can’t bear to live in it. Threw almost everything in it as well. He could not be bothered at all. Just walked out with his clothes. Bought one in May, d papers finalised in July and got custody of my kids and now I’m waiting to move into my new home.

Not even a year has passed. I feel that I am very mechanical now. Doing things just to move on. I don’t know, I suppose it beats crying everyday. But the speed scares me sometimes. Sometimes I feel if I had been too hasty but I also know that he would not change and would continue because he thinks I depend heavily on his parents for child care and I don’t talk back to them, so he thinks I’m afraid to offend them and I would have no one to look after my kids. In any case, I’ve exploded in all sense and told his mum that he can go and have his fun since his happiness is more important than his kids’.

I wish you all the best. Good luck.

      Hi,

Her charges for 45 min lessons 4 times a month is:-
      grade 1 - $150,
      grade 2 - $170,
      grade 3 - $190

I was also told to start on theory lessons and her rates are separate and for grade 1 is $100 for 30 min 4 times a month.

Pls kindly advise if her rates are reasonable.
My dd learns 1-1 beginner piano at $160 for 4 x 45min a mth. She's 5yo this year. Tr is music u grad.
