Hi,
My ds is planning to take Grade 5 piano theory in march next year. Does anyone know where I can send him for the theory preparation class? Your recommendation is greatly appreciated.

hi mint,
Buckley has a long waitlist. It is better that you call them as the principal is not very prompt with reply to emails.mint:
I would like to put my son's name down on the waiting list for next year. As I'm not in Singapore right now, I have emailed them (Buckley) a couple of times without any reply. I'd really appreciate any advice based on your experience in making the application as I'm hoping I can do this without having to go in person.

MOE Test for P1
Hi,
My dd is in P1. She told me that she sat for a test from MOE yesterday. According to her, they were given 1/2 hour to complete the test and some of the questions are very difficult. One of the questions require her to identify the piece of the missing puzzle. When she told me that I immediately associate it with the game on FB - Who has the biggest brain?
Does anyone know what this test is all about? Is MOE trying to identfy which kid has the biggest brain? :? -

You can try Kavanagh Dance School at Toa Payoh. Check out their website http://www.kavanaghdance.com.sg/about_us.htm -

I agree with you. Marymount is really out of the way. CHIJ TP is more convenient, nearer to the MRT station. I wish you success in your registration at CHIJ TP
I din get much feedback on Marymount Convent..very low profile sch..but I was told that the sch has a strong parent-teacher network support. I think the sch is comparable to CHIJ TP..both are equally strong in language and music...however CHIJ TP has affiliated sec sch..and CHIJ TP location is better..for me I find transport an issue for Marymount Convent..dat place is indeed secluded..reminds me of nursing home..

Hi JJJmom,
Hi Morach,
My girl got in OLN. She being the youngest, every1 in the family objects her going to HIPS, all wanted her to be in CHIJ. Besides HIPS learns Higher MT since P1, stress for parents! So the most logical choice is OLN. Did you go for Cedar Girls?
I registered my girl for CHIJ Toa Payoh and went through balloting. It was very very stressful. But thank God, my girl manage to get in. -

Hi Bebe,
HI is also a popular sch..remaining 90 vacancies for phrase 2B and 2C..therefore highly likely balloting is needed for 1-2km.
I m also keen to know more abt Cedar Pri..I think this is a mixed sch and is not affiliated to Cedar Secondary sch right?
What abt Kheng Cheng and First TPY Pri?
My first choice is CHIJ (TP) - hopefully no balloting required for <1km under 2C. 2nd choice would be Marymount Convent.
Cedar Pri has no affilation to Cedar Sec. Your chance to CHIJ TP is good since you are less than 1 km. You don't have to worry. Is Marymount Convent good?? I may have to consider this school too.
