I am most likely to visit in 2nd last week of July or 2nd week of August... M-F strictly cause I don't fancy dying waiting in line.. .. The VIP tour costs unbelievably 3 times as much as any other Disneyland.. I am aghast and found it this morning that for 6 hours it will be for up to 6 person 2.5K SGD.. I only need 2 spots for my son and I .. Pls PM if you are willing to share the cost of the 12,500 CNY for the private tour. DS is around 9 years old.. so if anyone is game.. do let me know just PM me.

RE: Travel: United Kingdom - London
I just got back from a very cold UK yesterday... Spring is slow in coming.. FYI bakerloo line doesn't stop at Piccadilly ..
https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/tube-improv ... d-stations
you can find most of the works esp. weekend works here. Do try the Science museum.. Yes the entry to all British Museums is by DONATION.. do not be cheap.. put in at least a pound for each person.. its just ugly when you don't... and yes I did see a full bus load just walk past the attendants last Thursday..
There is an APP.. in the Apple Store for the London Tube.. O2 will do your WIFI 8G (with device) and sim for 55 pounds .. and you can refund the VAT @ airport. -

Are both parents NRIC required for Primary One registration?
This would depend whether you would do the registration online or in person. Per MOE website:

The originals of each required document must be produced at the school of choice at the time of registration. Parents who registered online through the Primary One Internet System (P1-IS) will have to produce the originals of each required document to the school when requested or upon reporting to the school.
Citizenship Documents Required
Singapore Citizens:
The child’s Birth Certificate
The child’s Singapore Citizenship Certificate for those who are not Singapore Citizens at the time of birth
Singapore NRIC of both parents or Entry / Re-entry Permits of parents if they do not possess Singapore NRIC
The child’s Immunisation Certificates
Singapore Permanent Residents:\t

I am anglican, will be registering under 2B as well in St hildas primary. My child not baptised, my husband not a member. But am qualify under phase 2B.
It depends on which denomination you belong to, i guess.
Have you checked cause: at bare min you would require a letter from the Vicar... just in case you still have tomorrow to check it out? ... :imanangel:merkon:
Yes, mine is under Anglican diocese and it says specifically which school the vicar is supporting your application. But not sure how other churches / denominations go about it. Why not ask for another one for the backup school? Think if you are endorsed for one school, the other one should be endorsed too.koppie:
Hi. Those in phase 2B with church affiliation, can I check if your pastor's letter was specific for only one school? Mine is and I am wondering if in case I need to register in second choice school becos first choice school odds are no good, will the second choice school accept my church letter altho it indicates first choice school?

RE: Opera Estate Primary
The take up rate for this school has increased 5% in the first round.. hopefully 2C will still be ok..
Bakebean do you see any dramatic improvement in the school ? Or is it that the current student population has a large % of kids with siblings?
Thanks -
RE: Thinker Box - Discussion
May I ask if anyone has gone through Thinkers Box to give some feedback?

RE: How much would you pay for your child's enrichment courses?
So sorry.. I haven't posted or even been around in the last 6 months.. Yes I know the Chinese was super high.. but I was at work till 10 pm most nights (hence lack of posts) daddy travels all the time only speak english with the maid.. also going to ang moh kindy (not ideal but it was for only 1 year whilst mad house at work..)
to clarify 120 dollars per week was for one on one lesson for 5 days for half an hour so only 24.00 dollars per lesson. which seemed resonable at the time..
Now the teacher is superb.. no one is complaining about his Chinese (I mean the kindergarten and in laws..) and we have reduced it to only 2 sessions per week at the teachers recommendation. He can read to about half way through P1 advanced Chinese book and recognises more characters than mummy..... so we are happy with the outcome $$$$ yes. but worth it.. :rahrah:
The swimming was with a private on one one too.. but since changed to a group class and much cheaper meh.. and a lot of improvement too.. sometimes when you don't have time.. one gets trapped into filling the kids days with so many stuff so that he doesn't miss his parents...
BIG MISTAKE on my part.. not so much the financial but rather the connection. lucky part time work is in the pipeline just have to last till March.

RE: Legoland Malaysia
STOMPer Friziana's car window was smashed by a robber while her vehicle was parked at the Legoland Malaysia carpark yesterday (Sep 30).
She said:
\"My car was broken into at Legoland Malaysia yesterday (Sep 30).
\"I had parked my car at the Legoland carpark, which is an open air carpark with a lot of security personnel patrolling the area.
\"When I returned to my car at 6pm, I saw two policemen standing beside my car. My car window had been smashed and a bag with clothes inside had been stolen.
\"I was informed by security that the robbery had taken place at around 5pm, as my car alarm had gone off at that time.
\"The two policemen took photos of my car and brought me to the police station nearby to make a report.\"

It only took a 3 weeks from the official opening, despite a number of guards...
so sad...
