RE: Any Good O Level English courses for sec 4?
Ovencookies:
According to my son it was really intense and fun at the same time. The trainer gave them very good tips for tackling the different papers
apparently these methods are all used by those potential straight A students who are personally mentored and groomed by this trainer. and my son got this really thick book of notes. Thicker than a textbook! So u can just imagine the amount of things they covered. very impressed with the improvement I see in my son's oral and essay and comprehension
Hi Ovencookies,
Please check your PM. Thank you. -

Yup the workshop by http://www.olevelenglish.com is good. My son went for it too and is also enrolled for the long term revision sessions with the conductor. I will support my son all the way if he want to attend this as i'm quite impressed with the improvement so far.
Ovencookies, Isn't the L1 in L1R5 the most important? Cuz from what I know the math do not need to be included in the R5? My son used to have tuition sessions on the dates as well but we rescheduled it to help him to attend this English one

The pains come n go.i think might be bcoz I do a lot of groceries shopping recently. If I bend down n do a lot of cuttings, cooking, ironing, lifting things, i can feel the stiffness from my neck to shoulder n all the way down to spine...is it normal?
Exactly the same pain I feel from time to time, especially when it seems that my body cannot take it anymore. It is a sign that I am overworking my body more than it can take. I was often scolded for carrying heavy things, carry my boys, standing too long (etc) by the foot reflexologist. My blood circulation is not good so the foot reflex helps solve that too. The good thing I like about this lady is that she knows how to alleviate the pain from the soles - she knows the technique of removing the bad qi from the body. When a certain area is painful to the touch or to the foot massage, she does not keep at it, like other reflexologists do.. read : knead even harder! The affected area will feel warm when she does the extracting of the bad qi out from the sole, after which she will gently go back to massaging it until the pain subsides. My feet feel really light after her foot massage. Even friends we've recommended mentioned they slept really well and they felt like walking on clouds, especially if they come in with aching soles that are very painful to walk on.
One session of 45 mins will consist of foot reflexology and half body massage (back). The shop is run by an old couple - husband and wife who have been in this line for many many years. I was introduced to them by my mumsie because my soles were too painful for me to even walk. Despite going for foot reflexology at other places (with better interior design what nots), nothing seemed to work until I tried with this lady and i am totally sold. Because i dislike pushy sales tactics, i loved how she was never forceful when it came to suggesting us to get a package with her. She's like a motherly figure to me. I started going to her since the days before I was married. Her first words to me when she put her magic hands on my sole were : Ni hai nian qing bu guo ni mian yao overhaul liao.
She can also do gua sha if you wanna do intensive wind extraction. Not for the faint hearted of course. If you don't mind a \"no-frills\" shop.. no superb design or furniture.. don't mind clutter (old folks like to keep a lotta old stuff).. don't mind an altar in the shop.. no need for perfect England.. but just want effective servicing :rotflmao: then this place could be for you.
She also can help if you wanna lose weight or get back in shape. She won a beauty contest at age 58.
I've pm-ed you the contact.
Hi Buds,
Can PM me the contact please ? Thank you. -
RE: Is PSLE so important?

I'm with firefly. I see nothing wrong with MOE publishing the names of the top scorers. These students have worked hard and done well and deserve their moment of glory. How would publishing their names make other students feel bad? As a student, I was not a great at Physics, but that didn't make me feel bad when my friends scored A1 for the subject and topped the subject in my cohort. Do national swimmers feel bad that Michael Phelps is (was) breaking records and winning medals? Just because you can't be #1 doesn't mean you should feel bad for it nor deny those who are their little moment of celebration. Celebrate your own little achievements which are different from student to student. There's no need for envy.
I totally agree with firefly, jtoh and wonderm. -
RE: River Valley High School [*IP]
Hi parents,
I had sent my questions to http://www.todaysmeet.com on 16 and till now there is no reply from Mr Lee.
I don't want to buy iPad2 knowing that iPad3 is around the corner. Though the school said can don't participate in the program but the teachers are strongly encouraging the students to buy iPad. They are kind of getting the students to pressure their parents.
The parent association chairman even asked the parents to get the kids out of RV if don't want to participate ??!!! -

Hi,
My upstair neighbourβs kitchen pipe leaks and soil my ceiling. He is not willing to pay for the repair. May I know what is the bylaws in singapore for condo living ? I remembered the upstair neighbour is supposed to pay the full cost then why he said I should pay for 50 % ?
