    • RE: Are Singapore students too stressed out?

As long as there is still meritocracy, there is stress.

If no meritocracy, then no fair education system.

I think we value fairness more than stress, so we end up have to stress our kids… haha

      Hi J2 parents,

my friend's DD is in HCI J2 now. The girl is not so good at Maths and wants to start Maths tuition. She managed to get the contact number of former head of maths department of HCI, from her hwachong seniors.
Thinking of finding a few more students to so can start an exclusive group for HCI students if possible. 😉
If u are keen to join, pls PM me. TQ.

normally use school notes is good enough. Not really need additional assessment books.

My child’s tutor last time also say just notes and TYS are good enough. She gave notes though.

A third language is a heavy commitment, and it's not easy to main proficiency after finishing the exams. You are able to drop out halfway through though

      True.

3rd lang students need to travel to language centre outside the school on weekly basis. Logistic wise, also not easy for students and parents.

anyone knows the NYJC intake via dsa band?

I guess should be. But the student must be very good at playing the instrument.

For sports, normally only top players got the chance.
