RE: Corporation Primary
kabalevsky, no worries.
I was totally no idea about what is going to build next CPS. then i googled news about Google HQ and found the news. Hope wont affect the kids in CPS too much.
My girl most of the time reach school right before 7:50am deadline. haha.... i let her sleep till the last min. -

kabalevsky, Google HQ? wow! the construction site just next to CPS? i googled and noticed they are building data center at JW.
Dora1, the student care supposed to send out the information about the sleeping bag early this month, maybe they still cannot get a special room from CPS for those kids need to take nap. Some kids do not take nap at all, my girl often complain she cannot sleep as others make a lot of noise.
Overall, ACE @ work (student care) is functioning well. This coming Thursday/Friday they will arrange excursion for kids in the morning as the school is used for PSLE oral exam. Happy about their effort as the kids can go to park to play and we don't need to take leave.
About transportation, ACE @ work specially arranged one van (school bus) to send the kids back to home at about 630pm, i can't remember the fee, about $60 per month. -

Tarztarz, Dora1 & Hazelmama, Welcome to CPS family!
Dora1, those with siblings currently in the student care will have priority too, guess before those in subsidy. Two weeks ago, my girl received the form for siblings to register by 2 August. The procedures work like PS registration different phases. Interesting.

RE: Corporation Primary
Hi kabalevsky,
I think because CPS student care use existing classrooms for the kids to do homework, play and rest, they can accept more kids as long as they have enough teachers to look after them. Some PS has designated rooms for after school student care thus the intake is limited. But the kids may have more comfortable environment to rest.
Sometimes i feel bad about these young kids have to stay in the school/classroom for almost 11 hours a day. But we have no other choice better that this.

RE: Corporation Primary
Sorry, typo error. I mean some parents say no. Now they just sit at the table and use a small pillow to support the head to rest on the table.

Ace did a survey two weeks ago about sleeping bag, need majority of the parents support the idea then will implement. Parents bear the cost. We are still waiting for result but my girl told me do e parents say no.

RE: Corporation Primary
Hi tarztarz, my girl is with ACE.
She's happy with student care, even wanted to go back to join her friends after the learning fiesta and asked me go home first.
ACE provide lunch and tea break (breakfast also during school holidays or any day they need to open 7am-7pm). Kids will do homework first (if there is any, seems P1 has little homework now), then do some accessment provided by ACE (we paid $100 per year for those materials). Every Wednesday afternoon have one speech and drama lesson. Usually they have 1-11/2 hour nap (but no mattress, can only rest at the table, that's my concern and hope they can implement sleeping on the sleeping bag soon). sometimes they can go outdoor play if weather is ok, or watch DVD before going back home. -

fully agree..the kids hard to understand all these. 2nd week learned a o e i u U: (yu), next week already b p m f, then d t n l, this week j q x already....too fast for them to absorb. Lucky in LSH she learned already, so now just trying hard to memorize those ε£°θ°!
I have hard time teaching DD2 for ε¬ε especially now is the ζ±θ―ζΌι³ era and all these ε£°θ°!
Now i understand why JP's 倩δΈalways full house. :slapshead: -
