The P1 is having 听写 on every Tuesday and English Spelling every Thursday
I have hard time teaching DD2 for 听写 especially now is the 汉语拼音 era and all these 声调!
DD2 literally learns by memorizing
but she is loving school a lot and is excited every weekday morning :please: -

fully agree..the kids hard to understand all these. 2nd week learned a o e i u U: (yu), next week already b p m f, then d t n l, this week j q x already....too fast for them to absorb. Lucky in LSH she learned already, so now just trying hard to memorize those 声调!

no class tests but many spelling/ tingxie/ dictation and also Science spelling! so it's like having class tests 3x a week.
the next major test will be the CA, which my ds will take for the very first time. bite nails and seriously don't know what to expect..... -
