    • RE: Sunday times - undergrad concept of $

I always believe in instilling good values to our kids. Be they moral or monetary spending. Young minds are easily influenced by materialistic gains, esp what their frds have. However, my family, we do buy toys for my kids, but only on important occasions, like Christmas, Birthdays. Now, as we are facing recession, we don’t know when any of us will lose our jobs & need to think abt our survivals, let alone buy luxury things?

    • RE: All About English Creative Writing

      Hi all,

Do any parents have experiences with Learning Point at Simei? Thinking of signing my daughter for creative writing courses there next year (P3). Heard that a screening test has to be conducted b4 they accept you. Any feedback from parents who have kids there at present?
How abt Discovery Vacation Camps during the school holiday? Any parents whose children had attended the Science camp b4? Thanks 😄

    • RE: Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)

      Hi,

I think ChiefKiasu sent his son to Molin for a couple of months already. You can check the thread on Language, Speech & Drama to get more info. I reckon Molin is more suitable for upper pri. More academic & drilling work involved? Am I right ChiefKiasu?

    • RE: Mummy tinkfirst: Hi! I'm new here.'duo duo zhi jiao'!!

      Hi to Mincy & ChiefKiasu!

Thank you so much for your welcome notes. 😄
      I'm mummy of two, a girl in P2 & a boy in pre-N.
I'm very happy to join all of you here to learn & share my experiences.
Came across a thread by Chiefkiasu abt DVC for the holi programmes. I'm staying in the East, thinking of enrolling my daughter in this Science Camp at Taonan for an experience, since she will read Science next year. If I'm not wrong, your son had attended b4, may I know how was his feedback? Now, Dr Seet is charging $350 for 5 day camp including 2 outdoor trips. Is it worth attending? Thanks.
