Thanks sembgal

Unfortunately mcs can't tell me over the phone the applicants in each distance breakdown.
      Dear Ryes,

Oh dear, does it mean they only entertain those who go down personally? Hope some KSF expert can have a way of wringing the numbers from them!

Anyhow, though it's oversubscribed for Day 1, it could include PR too? Hope you'll successfully attain your goal today! I'm with you! 😄

I doubt Ignatius' article will have any effect on parents even though some parents have already mentioned such ideas in this forum. He's just saying nobody will ask which primary school you came from so it isn't that important to have a branded primary school. Life's lessons can be learnt anywhere...

Problem with the article is, he's looking at the issue from an outsider's angle coz he is a swinging bachelor. They should have gotten someone with kids to write that but I guess those journalists with kids have all sent their kids to branded schools! 😉

                Hi lil_jade

No no…the lady at mcs very nice. Can call. I didn’t go down to ask.
But said she is not able (maybe "cannot" sounds harsh) to provide me breakdown
Coz they didnt count yet maybe?

But she said majority is more than 2km n unfortunately I call under that category.
So…haven’t decide to risk or not yet.

                How’s ur fren?

So unfair if his son gets in just bcos he's a celebrity. So what his wife is sporean, his son is not! How can MOE allow such thing to happen. He sounded like it's so damn easy for his son to get in. He better go by the rule and register in Phase 3 which is for foreigner, of course, no hope of Pei Chun Public. Sporean can't even get in, who is he to expect so.

                        Joyful22,

No harm in putting on wait list. 2yrs back, My friend failed to get a place at MBS at phase 2c… She immediately went to put her son’s name on wait list… Her hubby sneered at her for being too Kiasu but she couldn’t care less. Then, on 30dec, she received the call from MBS to inform her that her son had gotten a place in the school. She readily accepted it, rushed down to sch to get the uniform and books…

Her only loss was… She had wasted money on the other sets of uniforms and some books.
