so the correct answer is - rhythm . BUT, since the wrong word used ends with an \"S\",
wouldn't it be implied or correct to end the correct word with an \"S\"?
i.e. rhythms ?

or, is there no such phrase as rhythms of the climate ?

\"Rhythms of the climate\" sounds fine to me (as climate is the result of many different cycles over different time frames).

yes it is to spot the spelling mistakes.

my son is telling me that since the error is in plural, the corrected answer should be in plural as well.

but I have no clue what so ever, and have not heard of rhythms of the climate, but have heard of rhythm of the climate.

my son is correct ?

Lest means \"for fear or in case\". This is the only word that fits in the sentence as others do make sense to fit in. Subject [descriptive modifier] verb in agreement with subject.
