mummyjoyce, if it’s $360 per month for BOTH then that’s more or less the market rate (if not under)

As a starter, do i need to get a piano for home lessons? Will the digital pianos work?

          Yeah the rate really depends!

My son is taking piano and http://www.learnpianoinyourhome.com here in Texas. I save a lot knowing that I dont have to spend on gas and extra fees when going to the teacher. Her teacher charges $5 per hours, but it's worth it!

My SIL is a very good and experienced piano teacher - she has been teaching for more than 20 yrs. Many of her students pass with distinction BUT she's also a very strict one. I believe her charges are reasonable - like $80/mth for beginners, then $120/mth for grades 1 & 2 and then $160 for grade 3... She lives in Bishan Park Condo - Sin Ming Walk. Any one interested may pm me or contact me at punggolow@yahoo.com.sg for her details 🙂

                Just an update:
She prefers to teach students 7 years and above.

We were introduced to a rather good teacher. Masters student and she is able to engage my child through different activities. Even my K1 likes her. After 1 month of teaching, she told us that she got a full time job

So I told the agency that I only want full time teachers. We cannot keep on changing teacher for the child. It's just so disruptive.

                    Hi there,

Can anyone recommend a good & experience piano teacher to coach my son who is now taking JXC in Yamaha?

I'm staying in the West and hope to find a teacher who can teach him on week night.

                    Thanks,
                    mummy N 😄
