I don't know how you all view SJIJ. but personally i feel its a school that is nice on the outside (name), but crap on the inside. . for those who have sons entering P1 next year, i advice you to choose any school but SJIJ. heed my advice for the sake of your sons πŸ™‚

Herbie, SJIJ's top PSLE score for 2009 was 266. For 2008, the highest was 275.

266 is extremely low. i believe a neighbourhood school can do a lot better. any views from parents?

No plans as yet. Probably reasonable to expect them to be at the tail end of schools converting to single session. They now run with P1 and P2 in the afternoon and the rest in the morning.

Drop off I don't have personal knowledge, but I suppose its like many schools where you drive up to the school gate and do a drop-and-go. As for pick up, there is very limited roadside parking just before dismissal. Parents who get to park would hang around the gate to pick up their boys. When the buses leave the compound, they then open up for cars to drive in for pick ups.
The school is always at the tail end for everything. they only do things to make things LOOK right, but actually the school is made up of selfish leaders.

Hi jaded, I'm intending to enrol my son to SJJ next year. Notice your strong comments, care to explain more?

                  Hi jaded,

No offence, but I think it’s a bit unfair to the school for you to drop such comment WITHOUT elaborate much. It seems to be a competitor school trying to β€˜tarnish’ the reputation of the school (if you know what I mean).

Am very new at this. Not sure if I am doing this right by writing on this thread. We have to register our boy this year and we deciding between SJIJ and Maris Stella. Can anyone share more about SJIJ? Really anxious about which school is good for him. He is rather active and vocal. Not sure which environment would be suitable for him.

Hi, no offence taken. Lets just say ive witnessed first hand experiences? or perhaps you would like to drop me a personal message to find out more .but please, if you are part of the parents support group, please stay away from me as i do not want to be \"sued\" in any way for my sharing. πŸ™‚

i am in no way trying to tarnish the reputation. im just trying to do honest sharing here πŸ™‚

                      cheers
