Has she seen a doctor to rule out underlying conditions, eg worms, aneroxia or genetics of being naturally skinny.

I gave my kids codyceps when there were classified as severely underweight and their appetites seemed to improved. Also gave them peanut soup.

DD filled up when she hit her teenage years and though she is technically underweight, 45kg for 164cm, she does not look it so I just leave it.

DS is sub 30kg for 14x cm. Giving him de-worming medicine from the pharmacy periodically cos he does complain of worms sometimes.

            Thanks

My girl can eat a normal serving of chicken rice with vegetables and a serving of yong tau fu (7 pieces) for dinner while my son eats 2 chicken rice at recess. But both are classified as underweight and at one stage, severely underweight even.

My son does complain of itchiness and wriggling so I guess he has worms. Not so for my girl.

I am underweight so the doctors have put it down to genetics. They were underweight since toddlers so this had been discussed over the years.

Am less concerned now after I see how my girl bulked up the last 2 years or so.

My cordeceps is in the worm form. Double boiled with lean pork.

Does your niece in poor health? Maybe it is just her having a very high metabolic rate or very efficient digestive system?

my daughter at 10+ is underweight…she is short too, like me.

the doctor recommends she eats more high protein food, rice (carbohydrates) and milk…basically stuff we adults are afraid to eat because of putting on weight.

True. I see a little bit of weight gain if they can drink 2 glasses of full cream milk daily. Weight maintenance if 1 glass and sometimes weight loss if none.

Having adequate sleep is also important.

My 10 year old boy eats as much as your 2 kids.. he is tall but average size only..
May I know how old are your kids now? When will they bulk up?
