So those who got the rejection mail does not stand any chance even to re appeal or reconsider the application? How about supplementary intake?

If you take a closer look at the home page, it says # supplementary intake, only if there is vacancy left after DSA, which means it's intake now is 100% DSA (unlike previous years, there is about 17 vacancies left after DSA for those via PSLE) unless the number of successful applicants is not enough to meet the intake number.

It is also possible for confirmed applicants to change their minds.
This means one should only appeal after the DSA places are offered.
But I think the chance is still slim because there is a waiting list too; obviously this list will be given priority over those rejected in the 1st round.
The best chance is probably to do exceptionally well in PSLE to get their attention.

Based on past years statistics, more than 4,000 applicants sat for round 1 in various test centres in June of which only top 10% or about 400+ are selected for second 2 (DSA Camp). Eventually out of the 400, only 170 places are awarded. To my understanding DSA is now 100% of the intake. Those eventually accepted in are among the best in Maths (60%) and science (40%). Of those accepted , very Very few accepted will ever reject the DSA offers.

NUS High School is already in the 11th year, its yearly statistics and performance of students (and its graduates) really put the school among one of the top Maths and science High school in the region ( and around the world). The reputation of NUS High is such that it is the only high school in S'pore invited by US universities for some competitions.

May I know how will the Selection Camp be like? Is there any way to prepare? What will be tested? What kind of experiments do the students do? Will they consider the achievements in Math & Science Competitions and School Results seriously?
