What is the cut off for EESIS this year?
May I check EESIS is offered to top how many %?
How about 3rd language? Offered to top how many %?
Thanks Niko1121
EESIS is offered to top 1/3 of kids eligible for IP schools that year (usually top 10%), so roughly top 3%
-

Hi,
I am interested to know what happens if the child is selected to the school through DSA but then the psle results falls short of the cut-off point for the school. Does it matter once he was already selected in? -
Belle:
it only depends on if he met the score requirement stated when he received the confirmed offer (eg. instead of the cut-off point for admission to an IP school he only needed to qualify for the express stream)Hi,

I thought EESIS is only good if you apply to Independent IP Schools? It's of no use if you go to Govt IP schools. -

Yes you don't get to use it if you choose to go to govt IP schools. But regardless of outcome, EESIS is still offered inside child's result slip.niko1121:

Great, seems many happy parents here, as many of their children got 260 and above. Congrats!

Does MOE announce whether 2016 scores were higher or lower, on average, than 2015 scores? How are parents supposed to help their children select schools if they don't know what the trend is from 2015 to 2016?
Other than the 98.4% passing in 2016 vs. 98.3% passing in 2015 (not a big difference at all), does anyone out there have any other evidence that the average scores went up from 2015 to 2016? (At my son's school, they did not provide any statistics comparing the school in 2015 vs. 2016 or comparing the school versus the overall Singaporean population at all...) Not knowing this information is like driving blind in the selection process... -

DD 266+2. NJC or RGS ? Never go to RGS open hse because didn’t expect my DD to score above 255. Anyone can share your RGS open house exp? Is it a stressful school? Any feedback on NJC vs RGS? She is offered EESIS, is this only for 1st year if she chooses an independent school? Thanks
