I would think that if the individual subject T-score is computed based on the formula, then there will be no "full 100 marks" to speak of, in which case, the A* grading of 91 will not be applicable. Unless the subject grading is independent of the subject T-score, which I don’t think so. Does this make sense?

        xn_mummy:
hear is english - teachers' day, chinese - helping friends

English is using the context of writing poems to teachers for teacher's day celebration to discuss the topic of showing gratitude.
Chinese video is on helping others but the third question reveals the topic of friendship.

@myteapot - yes I think it makes sense πŸ™‚ but we have seen kids with high T score but one or two A* so I was wondering if it's because the grading is independent :). Note moe' answer in the FAQ was \"objective standards\" πŸ˜‰

Hi ACMummy, yes I understand what you mean. πŸ˜„ So it is this 'objective set of standards' that we don't have clarity on and open to interpretation. As to the scenario you mentioned, guess there can be various factors such as really high A* accompanied with weak As or other grades.

For those whose kids are in the 2nd group oral today, did they have to wait for everyone in the batch to complete before they can be dismissed?

She was dismissed from school once she finished her turn.

                      Hi Raisintan,

Group 2 students can leave immediately after oral. The reason why group 1 students have to be held back because they need to make sure all the group 2 students are reported at school before they release the group 1 students. Both groups of students cannot be in contact at all as the oral topic is the same for both groups. The oral topic is leaked the moment the group 1 students are released. πŸ™‚

DD1 told me there's an error in the PSLE Chinese oral passage. Boy's name was originally 明华. Then suddenly there's a 小明. DD1's friend got confused and read as 小明华! πŸ˜‚

DD1 asked examiner which name should she read, and examiner told her whatever was printed on the passage then read what. 🀷
