If you are worry about CHIJ being popular, I am afraid to tell you for Pei Chun > 1km and < 2km, you won't even have a chance to ballot.Hi everyone
I have a dragon gal and a sg50 boy. Initial we are planning to try to ballot for Pei Chun which is < 2km so that my boy can tag along..
But i have friends who are telling us why not try CHIJ TPY since we are < 1km.
Now we are having 2nd thoughts. We are open to send our gal to a girl sch but chij is popular and we might not get a place after all. -

What is your definition of better? Maybe see which one needs balloting. Those are more popular. Not sure if means better? Consider cca, distance, past achievements by the school, supplementary classes? Check the school website.i'm new here. anyone staying in sengkang?
Does anyone knows which school is better, north vista or palm view? -

Actually you can consider Keng Cheng. Recently it's gaining more popularity compared to Pei Chun as it appears to be more holistic so it will give your children lesser stress.Hi everyone

Hi,
Would like to find out more on the teachers in North Vista & Palm View? Any parents has child in either of these schools can advise me how are the teachers? Are they good or caring? In terms of character building and CCA which school will be better?
Anyone can advise me on this?
Thanks -
I will be moving in with my in laws to take care of them, and intend to rent out my current place. Can I still use my current place’s address for registration cos it’s still my house though I’m not residing there?

Unfortunately no. -
floppy:
settle the older one first because 1) she is dragon year baby, especially 2) since you are staying less than 1km. be prepared to face balloting though. for pei chun, staying more than 1km away, there is no chance to even ballot.

Hi everyone!
I’m new to this forum… also having a dragon girl for P1 registration next year. I’m in a dilemma now and greatly appreciate if I could seek your advices from all of you.
I’m staying in Punggol and thinking of enrolling my girl in Holy Innocents Pri School in Hougang under Phase 2A(2). My worries are as follows:
1) No school bus from Punggol to Hougang
2) If there is, the pickup time will be early and too tiring for my girl to wake up early everyday
3) Biggest worry is that there is no school bus after school hours on days that she needs to stay back for CCA or enrichment classes.
4) Have thought of sending her to student care centre within the school but I will not be able to fetch her by 7 pm (assuming the centre closes at 7 pm like childcare centres)
Alternatively is to enrol her in Punggol neighbourhood schools but good ones will have to go through balloting since it is a dragon year.
Should I still enrol her in Holy Innocents? Please help me!! Thanks in advance. -
Hello all! Im checking in here!
We stay in punggol and there is a new school right beside us but im thinking of leaving that as my last choice in 2c phrase.
I can join other schools in this grc under 2b
Bbth hubby and my schools are considered not bad.
Hub: Anderson Primary School
Me: Kheng Cheng School
But the distance frm punggol to kheng cheng tbh is very far. The pro is it is a rising school. Im not too sure abt anderson though. Hub’s been telling me to just take the school right beside us. Cus distance is a concern to him. But i have 2a2 and 2b! Why do i wanna waste it right?
Any advice? Do i really try 2a2, 2b then 2c?
