we hope to hear genuine happenings of nyjc in the future. No comparison of results between itself and other JCs please.
We all have enough of them, 'fake news' or not.

Is there such subject combination as AEP student with CLEP? Both are elective programs. Do they clash? Both should b pretty rigourous right, like taken at H2 level?

In my opinion, this is not possible as both will be \"upgraded\" to h3 in j2. In addition, the activities conducted for these two elective programmes may clash (e.g. overseas trip). In addition, the timetable will not be possible as both programme's lessons also start around late afternoon. Considering the rigour of both programmes, only one should be chosen.

I guess should be. But the student must be very good at playing the instrument.

For sports, normally only top players got the chance.

noted that the timetable may clash..

If im hearing u correctly, h3 is the most rigourous?

coz i have friends who are saying that h1, h2, h3 is not the level of difficulty but the type of subjects...im confused. can u pls enlighten?i don't remember such bandings in my time...

elective subject timetable only start late afternoon? then the core is in the earlier part of the day?

                      Greetings,

A level results day 23th, we were in college.
Cohort 2017 of Nyjc did very well- better than 2016 cohort.
Pls see NYJC U-Tube video on 2017 A level results.

                      Principal shared verbally in hall:
                      - all subjects with 99.XX % passes
                      - he read out many H1/H2 subjects with Distinctions above National Avg
                      - specially mentioned that GP Distinctions was better than yr 2016- above 42% ( National Avg is 24.4%).
                      - more than 4 out of 10 students got 3 H2 Distinctions with GP passes.

                      From my own observation:
                      - This yr, numbers of students with 3H2 Distinctions with GP passes is closed to 300 ( I counted students going up stage but kind of lost count. Ny Facebook stated that number is also closed to 300 ). Based on yr 2017 cohort, that is about 43-44%.
Year 2016 there were 251 students ( I have Nyjc annual 2017 yearbook confirmed 251 students got 3 H2 Distinctions).

                      - H2 Chemistry 66.3%
                      - H2 Maths 68% , Further Maths 75% ( reported by another parent)

Awesome! I hv only met 2 Nanyang JC students before. My impression is that they are very hardworking and very down2earth.
