Hi All, I am new here. We are staying in West Coast area. We plan to send our daughter in 2020 in


1. Anglo Chinese (Primary)
2. Nan Hua
Both are slightly outside 2 km
Only eligible for Phase 2C. Planning to apply for PV at both. Any other Options?

ACS Primary is a BOYS-ONLY school. And it does not take in PVs.

Nan Hua: not sure whether they take in PVs but you can try.

“Slightly outside 2km” is the wrong measurement to use. By OneMap indicator, if your house falls outside >2km means outside, end of story.

I suggest you compare the various fall back plan schools since West Coast area usually has no schools <1km.

Based on their http://nanhuapri.moe.edu.sg/about-us/parent-volunteer-scheme, if you want to apply for PV (child born in 2013), you will have to do so before Jun 2018! 2 months to closing. Good luck.

Even if you are accepted as PV, and subsequently, qualified for Phase 2B, there's no guarantee that you will have stand a chance since balloting has occurred in Phase 2B previously. You may want to move closer after you have secured the PV slot if you want to be safe.

For Phase 2C, your only option is to move to within 1km or to consider other schools.

No PV prior to yr child entering school. Purely by eligibility in diff phases & most taken up by citizens with trickle of PRs.


Once accepted, there are plenty of opportunities to serve as PSG in school.
