      Advise please?

1.Should I take the risk to ballot for Marymount Convent in phase 2cs (1-2km)?
      2. Next 3 best alternatives from the TOP list provided which still have vacancies? Got to mentally prep myself for another ‘unsuccessful’ text message on 21 August 2018.
Staying in TPY, SC, dear daughter.
      Thank you!
There are only 11 places for Marymount Convent left. It is a good holistic school. Definitely those with daughters and living in the North area (especially those balloted out from SNGS) will be applying there.

If you are game to join the balloting, and balloted out again, you probably have to choose from: First Toa Payoh Primary (nearest to you), Townsville Primary in AMK, Yio Chu Kang Primary (which is in Hougang), Xinghua Primary in Hougang, Zhonghua Primary in Serangoon, Northoaks Primary in Sembawang, Xishan Primary in Yishun.

All these are co-ed schools. So I think those with all daughters are likely to try Marymount, then fallback on these schools. See whether u can take the further north traveling distance if MOE doesn’t allocate you First Toa Payoh Primary.

Congrats to both! My boy is going to SA too. Shall we have a WA chatgroup to connect? SA's thread is rather quiet.

Congrats to you too! Have dropped you a PM

Marymount, left with 11 seats for 2CS
: SC < 1 km will ballot. If you are outside 1 km, no chance to ballot.

if you don't like First Toa Payoh (because of the name), can consider
(Cedar, Ang Mo Kio, Mayflower, Townsville, Yio Chu Kang, Xinhua, Guangyang, Zhonghua) primary.

Sorry, come to 2C Supp, not much choice left.

Applicants to CHIJ SNGS have to be within 1km of the school - which means they are likely to be > 2km from MCS. Unlikely they would / could apply for a school with 11 places.

Most likely applicants are girls who didn’t get a place in KCS, PCPS.

I stay near all the schools above..in SKG

Juz opp to Nan Chiau n Springdale..but not eligible for Nanchiau as PR..
I already got in alumni due to elder but it is in Hougang PLMGPS.. as its too far to travel as she has to wake up at 5am..
But I m trying for springdale
Will see tmr how it is..
May I know which school aftr Springdale..I shld choose..
              FERNVALE
              SKG PRI
              NORTHSPRING..
              Pls SHARE UR INPUTS..
Only these 3 I have in.mind n got vacancies too..
Lost my impression for AGPS since last year..dont know why..ever I dont want to..

If you are PR status, my opinion is you shouldn't be aiming springdale as it's already over subscribed. Look for a confirm ticket nearest to home or stick to plmgps.

Yup u r right..But if all SC applicants oversubscriped..I wont..
But as of today morning aa per last nite regn..
I heard it is 15seats are PR n rest are SC..
So if got chances for PR balloting thinking to go for it. N see her luck..
as my kid can even go by herself..as juz a pedestrain cross over..[/quote]

Hi, I'm new in this thread but very keen to find out more about pri schs in Sengkang for my twins niece n nephew who are registering for P1 this year. We are very out of touch with this process hence lost! They have failed in their phase 2C balloting and now their nxt choice - Fern Green Pri is left with 60 seats. Do they have a good chance? Any advice is much appreciated!

60 seats is not a lot. Why don’t they go for Seng Kang Primary which has 135 seats, or North Spring Primary? These have the most seats in that district. Better chance.

The dragon babies have made many schools severely overplaced this year from 2B or 2C. MOE shall prepare flexiable policies for such big change earlier. Have appealed to MOE to open more school positions, at least for citizens or PR nearby.
