Can MOE share us the unsuccessful name lists?

u mean the names of unsuccessful children been balloted out, per school , under Phase 2C ? This list of names of children, are confidential. Moe cannot disclose.

Actually, I want to know the criteria of balloting, Is it really randomly?

        Sparkss:
        Got balloted out.

Hands were cold and holding back my tears.

But still managed to tell DC cheerfully \"time to find another school\".
Sparkss, I was in same position as you a few years ago; being balloted out. At 2CS, I reluctantly to register my DC into a neighbourhood school that I don't perceived as good. But I am pleasantly surprised my DC enjoys gg to this \"2CS\" school so much. It is a blessing in disguise.

Hope your DC will enjoy the Pri sch life happily too. Cheer up.

I guess you mean you want to know how many children were balloted out in 2C, so that you can guess how competitive 2Cs is?

I actually did a quick calculation of the number of children that were expected to be balloted out in 2C last week before that page was deleted by MOE, just to have an idea how competitive it was :scared: .

The way I calculated was :
Total <Number of children registered in a particular school (A) - Number of places available in 2C for that school (B)> [only if A > B]

So roughly there were ~3300 children
(BUT I have already deleted that result, so donโ€™t remember the exact numbers!! ). :yikes:

Now according to MOE, about 6600 places available for 2CS. So theoretically every SC and PR should be able to get into a school. ๐Ÿ•บ

          Hope this is helpful :grphug:
But competitiveness depends on the school - best is have a few backups and sign up for one that is nearest / with the highest chance of getting in.

Congrats to all who have successfully secure a place!

For others who have not, donโ€™t despair. Focus on the next phase.

The dragon babies have made many schools severely overplaced this year from 2B or 2C. MOE shall prepare flexiable policies for such big change earlier. Have appealed to MOE to open more school positions, at least for citizens or PR nearby.

MOE has opened extra classes for neighbourhood schools. there are sufficient vacancies, just that they may not be the ones parents would like.

In short, when parents asked for more school places, it's dog whistle for we want more places in the popular schools - who gives a s@#* about the vacancies in the neighbourhood schools.

Thank you. Cold sweat for us during the wait, especially when its 38 for 21 places. Worser odds than the 1st failed attempt. Could breath again when the positive results came. ๐Ÿ˜“
