Look, if something is likely to be useful/true, people will upvote. Vice versa. Unlike Facebook/Twitter, you can't do the reverse. I guess you are not familiar with how other forums work.
I’m familiar with how other forums work. If something is in-line with what people like or believe in (ie they find agreeable in), it will be upvoted. However, upvote / downvote doesn’t make the initial statement any more true.

We all know that NYJC had never provided any info or data to substantiate what parents said or believe in, beyond the statement made by the P to an assembly (which isn't very helpful statistically speaking). While I understand the allure of proving a point, to present questionable data upvoted by the faceless men of Braavos as the bastion of truth is really 🤷

I do agree with your point. And thus, I sought forummers here to discuss or suggest interpretations when I posted a screenshot of the comment here: https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=85535&start=850

What kind of English statement is this ? Is this a new idiom you invented or is your English just fundamentally bad ?

Your DC is in one of the 3 feeder schools and I believe your DC is on the IP Track, that makes you a soon to be EJC parent. And, you slammed all EJC parents out there with your sardonic remark.
Totally nonsense again. Proves that you are a person without any tint of integrity and will use whatever means to slime a person.

              Your answer is a joke.

What do you mean by \"top tier = elite\"? Might as well say water is wet. Care to elaborate? Also, you didn't justify WHO are you to judge? Same goes to your answer to heartland. If you dont understand your deed, you won't understand the language. I suggest you look up the Oxford Dictionary to assist your understanding of English. It also shows how shallow you are when you use such points to kick up a fuss. Shame on you 😆

Must hear 'wow' from others about yr JC to get recognition?

One doesnt need to be in IPJC inorder to achieve good results.
Nyjc though not IPJC , its Mean Rank Point is reported ranging from 83.1(by a forummer, reliable source as claimed) , is quite comparable to some IPJCs.

Just wondering what's the percentage of NYJC students taking 4H2

Let's say is 50% compare to all IPJC of 95-98% for example (only)
And let's say if put 95% instead of 50% of NYJC students take 4H2, will its Mean Rank Points drop to ie. 81-82 instead?

                  No offence. Just doubt only

hi any feedbk on this jc? how did their recent batch fare for their a levels? wondering if it's worth to dsa to the sec schs which r linked to this jc. As this jc cop isn't so high n it is a new jc with not much track record to prove yet. the dsa route to the sec schs only accepts ip n not o level for the domain we wish to try so this means we will be locked into this jc.
very scared as my dc is in one of the newer pri schs in sg and based frm what I c they do not reali have adequate experience, resources to help the students for psle unlike established schs. more like trial n error. . 😓
You are putting the cart before the horse. First, you have to get into the sec school before worrying about the JC. However, if the JC is really a concern, do consider another school offering the DSA domain.

The JC journey only starts 4 years later and lasts less than 2 years. Effectively, 2/3 of the work is done by the 3 secondary schools leading to the JC. While the JC COP is not high, SNGS, SCGS and CHS have COP of 255, 252 and 254 respectively which put them on par or higher than some IP schools and all 3 are very established schools. Furthermore, the JC is moving into a new compound next year, it will have some of the newest resources available. As for adequate experience, the teachers aren’t exactly fresh from NIE; they have taught in some of the more ‘established’ schools before receiving their new posting.
