Yah, the best is still MRT and then 410W (or 54 / 52) from Bishan MRT, especially coming from Rivervale.
Actually the best is MRT and then bus. Cos if he takes the bus all the way, he will not be with his friends....if he takes the bus (many bus options) to Bishan, he will be taking with many friends, and it will be more fun. -
If it is MRT, should use overhead bridge to go across the road to take bus, there are 3 or 4 buses.

Across the road, there’s 13, 88 which passes through, as well as 52, 54 (coming from the interchange) that I’ve mentioned previously.
If it is MRT, should use overhead bridge to go across the road to take bus, there are 3 or 4 buses.
I just don’t find any of these options (crossing the overhead bridge, waiting for the bus) faster than waiting for 410W

Thanks for the advice 😊 btw, any idea sec1 Express uses what books? Wondering if I can use my elder boy books from 2018.

Many prefer to walk from Bishan MRT station to CHS (cross road at traffic junction and walk straight along sheltered walkway) rather than waiting for buses. It should take less than 10 minutes for the teenage boys.

Hi! Am new here. Wanna seek some advice…
My DS is in CHS Sec 2 this year… gonna choose his subj combi by today… he is undecided as to which humanity to choose… did not do well for both his Hist n Geog in recent exam. Got A2 for E Lit but Eng did not do very well too…
Wanna know if anyone can share about how CHS fare in O levels for the humanity subjs? Are the teachers good? Are there good ref materials given? My DD school provided a lot of reference materials to guide students for eg answering techniques, topic content and areas to take note etc which are very useful but unfortunately for my DS, for his Sec 1 n 2, other than English, Sci subj and Math, there are very little reference materials given for other subj.
Wondering how’s the school prep for their students for o level for the humanity subjs and other subjs?
My DS said he may choose E Lit but I am apprehensive cos it’s really hard to score it seems esp his Eng is not extremely strong.
Would appreciate any input/advice… many thanks! -

Catholic High School alumni association marks 50 years with video featuring PM Lee Hsien Loong (and others) singing school song

Enjoy! I grew up listening to my dad (now dearly departed) singing his school song with pride. So it’s very familiar to me. -
Im hearing the school song on repeat last night… getting sick of it lol

ya.. i am at Rivervale area... is an hour journey to reach bishan
Bus 50 is probably not the best choice if you are starting from SK Interchange. However, if you are starting your journey from the neighborhood of Fernvale, it’s probably a reasonable option. That said, bus 50 only brings you to Bishan Road, still need to walk to CHS or take a feeder bus if you want to stop at the door step.floppy\" post_id=\"1940850\" time=\"1570790219\" user_id=\"97579:

Oh.. just search for bus 50 route... is quite a long ride...
but dont need to walk n change train
but i like the idea of just 1 bus from point a to point b[/quote]hi hi
Yes hope our boys will enjoy in CHS.
So coincidentally, I am also staying near Rivervale area.. I'm near to Rivervale Plaza.
Infact bus 88 also goes to CHS. -
I think my boy will likely be taking MRT back home. However in the morning, I will drop him off since my office is near Bishan too. Usually I prefer to send my boys to school in the morning, especially when morning rains… can be quite disturbing to commute on their own.
So I will drop my elder boy in his school, he is Sec2 this year at Montfort Sec. Than, drive over to Bishan from Hougang. They will make their own ways home daily.
