NTU med gave out rej letters I'm assuming to everyone else on the waitlist. From their wording, seems like the waitlist process is over.val894\" post_id=\"1982818\" time=\"1593427936\" user_id=\"185187:From which medicine school? Whoever it is, do not feel disheartened. We can still do wonderful and amazing things in life. Think of the next passionate thing you want to embark and bring out your full potential and the best in you.

He's prepared for whatever the outcome. I am the only \"Kan Cheong (Nervous)\" Parent rather then a Kiasu Parent right this moment. Haven't received any notification yet.
Well, it is understandable how one feels after hearing the news. It is really an awful brutal agonizing wait for us as parents and also our kids. -

My DS is on NTU waitlist and he got offer, and this offer is only expire on 30-Jun, but he prefer NUS. so theoretically there is still vacancy not fully filled. -
just be patient and wait lah… dun speculate say places have been filled… make everyone nervous only
-
anyone heard of cases where rejection from waitlist was later converted to an offer?

The decision is final once they have decided on the rejection. For guys in NS can still try to apply again next year for another chance. Another way is to write an appeal for their reconsideration but the chance is very slim. As quoted here from NUS Medicine: -

\"Given the very competitive demand for the limited number of places available in the NUS Medicine undergraduate degree programme, all applications for admission have been reviewed thoroughly and extensively. Candidates lodging appeals should therefore note the highly unlikely eventuality of success.\" -
thanks Desmond for your response - however I was referring to NTU Medicine. my dd mentioned she heard of such cases before, thus I wanted to verify here.

I believe that defeats the purpose of a rejection for those in waitlist. We should not harbour such hopes and should instead comfort and encourage our child to take the rejection and move on to other options that are available. There are other paths available in life that are not Medicine-related if it's not meant to be. My friend's daughter got the rejection while placed in the waitlist, so I can understand how it feels too. Hope those who just got rejected have every success in whatever course they choose to study!

How about those who did not rec the rejection letter? Any idea how many?
-
Is it really true that NTU has started to sentd out rejection to those on waitlist?
