By the way, what's your general vibe regarding the Chinese paper 2 yesterday?

My kid (who counts chinese as one of his weak subjects) said it was easy. He looked so happy when he told me about his compo.

Generally, the first 3 papers seem easy in his opinion. We both feel that science may just be the killer paper. We just cannot believe that all papers will be easy. And if the papers are easy, there must be something we have missed. πŸ˜“

Cant wait for tmr! Last paper!

The fact that SEAB had removed some heavy content Science topics, means that they want to de-stress the students this year. Hence, Science should be relatively easier, compared to past years.

If all the papers are relatively easier , how does that affect the t score ?

        COP will go up?

I recall there was one year the COP of mid tier schools went up by a lot , some by as much as 6-8 and many were caught off guard

Waiting for Sci papers \"report\" πŸ™‚

My kid feels Eng , Chi are really manageable ( maybe compared to my kid sch prelims, where EL is higher level)
Math is easier than last yr 2019 papers ( 2020 Math seem easy , but may not be and when worked under stress, the qns can make kids sudden confuse a bit here n there - good crafted qn fr SEAB, seem easy on surface but may not be - the high Math standard for Sg maintains though this yr is special, - in fact my kid feel slight more difficult than eg Rosyth , Henry park 2020prelims)

Sci - past yr 2017 to 2019 had not been easy .. lets hope this yr is manageable too !

Yes that would be year 2018 where all papers were easier except science a tad tougher. Heard bell curve more narrow and psle scores were more compressed therefore resulting in the 220-250 having more students. Cop in the middle tier schools also went up unexpectedly by 6-8 points. Top sch cop also came down slightly due to narrower Bell curve.

                      I see.

Maybe we need to take reference from 2018 COP when choosing the schools then .
