HOW DO I MAKE MY S1 POSTING EXERCISE CHOICES.
A lot of parents may be wondering how to choose the schools, can they choose a school that has a higher COP than their kids score. If yes, how higher can I go.
Here is a sound strategy that you can consider.
Choice 1: XXXXX. Choose a school that historically had a COP of 1 to 5 points MORE than your kid's current Tscore
Choice 2: XXXXX. Choose a school that historically had a COP of 1 to 5 points MORE than your kid's current Tscore
Choice 3: Choose a school that historically had a COP of 0 to 3 points less than your kid's current Tscore
Choice 4: Choose a school that historically had a COP of 0 to 3 points less than your kid's current Tscore
Choice 5: PLAY SAFE (Choose a school nearby home that historically has COP at least 5 to 7 points less than your kids current tscore)
Choice 6: PLAY SAFE (choose a school nearby home that historically has COP at least 5 to 7 points less than your kids current tscore)
Rule: The more safer your 5th and 6th choices, the more higher COP school you can try in choices 1,2,3. -

Hi parents, just to check, will we be receiving hardcopy of the sec school selection booklet?
Hardcopy is given out from today onwards
The one that I found thru Google search is last year’s one (Choosing Your Secondary Schools for Admission to Secondary 1 in 2020). Seems like MOE hasn’t uploaded the latest soft copy leh? -

I wrote a post on choosing school a few years ago, hence I thought it would be good to share this

Personally, the strategy above seems to be geared towards maximising the COP, which may be unduly. Given a heavy workload in secondary schools, proximity plays a very important factor as well. -

Imp75,
2 years ago, my boy 离题 too. His Chinese is usually stronger than English because of this, he only managed an A while English A*. So I think the impact to him is 1 grade. But fortunately, we are still in Tscore system this year, the other subjects can still pull up the overall. And also, essay only constitute a small % of the total Chinese score, so don't worry too much.Expresso01\" post_id=\"1998119\" time=\"1602125188\" user_id=\"183206:

Yes possible to still get A*
When looking at the marking rubic for MT compo it seem for out of topic content mark could be 0 or at a Low from 1-4 . It seems like the total mark will be drag down by more than 10 marks .
