Wow, is your dd in Advanced Chem class? 80% of her class getting A1 is amazing. How I wish my dd can score at least A2 for this subject. She's always in the range of B3 - B4. Dd said her Chem teacher told the class that Sec 3 average grade is D7, wonder she heard wrongly or not. Dd was so pissed off when I asked her twice:\"Are you sure you heard correctly? D7 huh?\"

Dd is in triple sci class and only 3 girls taking Adv Math. Majority of her class didn’t do as well last year for a few subjects including Chem, HCL, LA and IH. I think is normal. Come to Sec 4 they progress well, especially in IH, the cohort average is A1 this year.

Any other cohort averages of subjects that you know? My girls teachers nvr said anything.[/quote]So far only Chem and IH teachers revealed cohort average. Mostly her teachers only revealed her class performance but Dd thinks that maths should be very high especially IM2, EOY paper is very easy, there are students scoring perfect score.

Hi, i think the school website used to show the core and elective subjects for the various years of Sec 1-4, but now it doesn’t show the info. Can i ask which are the compulsory subjects tat all Sec 3-4 students must take? (my understanding is 5 subjects of LA, higher chinese, maths 1, maths 2, chemistry)

The 5 you mentioned plus Integrated Humanities.

OK, so there are 6 compulsory subjects. Thanks!

From what I know, Chemistry is still compulsory when you have opt for at least 2 Sciences. Bio is not compulsory, as it is not a prerequisites for JC subject's combi. The school highly encouraged the students to have Chem as one of the compulsory sciences' subjects.

Anyone knows if sec 1 books need to be kept for sec2 or it can be given away? For example Chinese 1, Math 1 and the story books for languages.

Some definitely need to be kept - Little Things poem book.
I think you can check your Sec 1 booklist (there is an * against some books stating to be used for Sec 1 & 2).
