I am also wondering what third language does sst offer cos my child is eligible for it.

Lastly, do you think going for third language or higher chinese is better?

Both have 2 points concession for o level if pass.
      you are mistaken

Not everything got 2 points concession for O level

      1)

If you clear O-level Higher Chinese, you get 2 discount points for your L1R5. This is correct

      2)

      But,

if you take 3rd foreign language (Japanese / French / German / Spanish) at O-level,

you don't get any discount point whatsoever

      3)

      But,
If you take MSP or CSP at O-level, you get 2 discount points for your L1R5.

Singapore wish to encourage more Secondary school pupils, to learn MSP / CSP

      MSP : Malay special programme

      CSP : Chinese special programme

more info available here, on MSP / CSP

Hi, do any of you know where to purchase the S1 textbooks. There was a link given on sst website(http://www.asencio.com.sg/) to purchase textbooks. But after create account, the items shown were only Sec2,3,4 textbooks, Sec 1 textbooks cannot be found.

The school will also set up WA groups - one for the whole Sec 1 level and one for the class. These are moderated by a member of the PSG.
