I just want to clarify that for NJC, contrary to many other IPJCs, JAE students actually make up the bulk of the JC intake. About 2/3 vs 1/3: of the roughly 600 JC 1 students in NJC, only 200 of them are from the IP program. The rest come from JAE. This is just a statement, please take it at face value.

      TJC also, jae > ip.

I think this is because NJC and TJC have one IP secondary school, whereas RI, HCI, VJC have two IP schools, hence the proportion of IP kids at the latter schools is higher. EJC has three IP secondary schools, so perhaps that is why the JAE intake is around 1/3.

RVHS and DHS are somewhat different as they started out as IP schools with no JAE intake.

I'm glad that the JC scene in Singapore is becoming more diverse - so there are really diverse choices for O level students, who can choose which environment they would like to be in.

Jae depriving leadership roles, 2 diff orientations held, many cliques formed amongst IPs etc.

Ejc has potential to grow but this IP/JAE issue is a stumble block.
        Welfare JAE is Zero.
Are you speaking from first hand experience? If not, were these your guesses? Because your good friend once said:

You are not inside Ejc. Pardon you.
But seriously, you havent heard of Ejc disparity treatment, I dont know what to say.
Personally I haven’t heard of EJC disparity treatment (from friends with kids in EJC). You don’t need to say anything else if you don’t know what to say 😄

          In not so related news,

Stage 2 of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL2) is now expected to open in the third quarter of 2021, instead of the first quarter.

Haters can breathe a little easier.

            take note

If you are an IP4 student from (Catholic High / SCGS / St Nick )
            And

in your (IP3 and IP4) past two years, your subject combination is "Double" Science (Physics & Chem), not "Triple" Pure Science, and

If your IP4 Physics subject overall result at year end achieved happen to be either grade C5 or C6, and thus,
you are contemplating to switch over to JC1 Bio in EJC, intend to discontinue with A-level Physics because lack confidence, note that

there is NO bridging Biology course inside Eunoia JC

1 of the highest number of Dean's List JC1 students this year.

Specifically soliciting opinions of JAE JC1 to make the coming orientation better & more inclusive.
              https://www.instagram.com/p/CHWhwHDHe0W/?igshid=1d4af5thid73l

Later on, there was more soliciting via Google form instead of dialogue.
I was quite touched by the effort, & told DS to contribute his opinion but he said he find his orientation good enough actually.

Due to stricter covid measures implemented in the midst of orientation, instead of the usual campfire, they quickly transformed it into an ingenious colourful block party, taking advantage of the 2 tall blks.

Insider tip: Look at various IG accounts of Ejc for updated info & trends.

Dunno which episode already liao.... 😉

                Yes,
remind me of those long winded several hundreds of Taiwanese drama shown every Saturday and Sunday weekend on TV channel 8, where they continued to play & repeat the same broken record all over again, keep harping on the same old issue, same story line, similar to someone familiar here who keep picking on EJC, keep be-littled and snubbed, throw stones, throw cold water at EJC,

inspite of the proven fact & reality that

EJC had shown improvement tremendously in her L1R5 admission score for both (Science & Arts), until now on par with both NJC and VJC

Really, one should give credit, when credit is due

But then 2nd class treatment towards JAE kids in Ejc isnt same story line.
Its a brewing problem college has yet / fails to address issue.[/quote]Oh no. The “same” cast under different aliases is back to post fake news on EJC again?

Is NYJC supporters so scared of EJC that they do this without fail, year after year?

I was told the boys wear bermudas and pants. Can someone advise what are the dress code in school so that we can decide on how many to buy? Is it often dress down days or full uniform? Thanks for any information.

Full uniform on Mon. The rest of week up to individuals but usually bermudas.

                      Hi everyone

My son entered EJC this year and just completed the subject combi submission. A bit late to ask now, but anyone know whether EJC History dept / teachers are good? Was also trying to see the % of distinction obtained at the past A levels for each subject but cannot seem to find.

                      Thanks in advance!
