My gut feel is no chance for PR from 2022. SMPS is expected to move back to their original address in 2022 after completion of their renovation. New and upgraded facilities, as well as removal of one big bugbear (far location of temp site), will surely see new / renew interest from SC.
Quite risky for PR, need to see actual stats on last day of registration. If no chance then backup would be Marymount Convent at 2C, sure in.Vicjam84\" post_id=\"2015006\" time=\"1613485042\" user_id=\"186881:
Hi, my daughter is due to register in 2022 (born 2016). We are PR living within 1km. What do you think are the chances of getting in?
I was hoping to register as PV last year but they are no longer running PV scheme (so dissapointed). Any parents in the same shoes?
Which other schools have a good school culture and are easier to get in for PRs?
Marymount Convent is also not a guaranteed for PR, especially for PR > 2km, as it is subjected to a PR quota for Phase 2C and 2CS. Notwithstanding, it’s a good recommendation if affiliation is not critical. -
Thank you Davischew and floppy for your replies. Seems like SMPS might be out for us then, we will probably look into Marymount Convent and see if we can relocate to get a better chance.

@coast - sorry for the delayed response.
How Affiliation Priority Works

Do note that MOE is working with the schools to determine the minimum requirements for affiliated students. If I am not wrong, it will be released by mid-2021.
Hope it helps.
If you have any query, do feel free to post here.
Happy Lunar New Year! :rahrah:

Your link is most informative. Now we have a better sense on how affiliation works.
Many thanks! -

Hi parents, anyone with their DDs in the holding site now? How is the commute and how is the place? The girls have been there for a year already… Thanks.

Hi
My girl will be going for P1 registration next year. We are citizens and we plan to shift to within 2km of SMPS. Do we have a chance? Or we need to go to within 1km?
Thank you -

Unless you already have a property or place in mind, if wanna shift, why not move within 1km? No need to worry about night long dreams many and solve transport problem also.

I was at the Wilkie road site today. Not a soul in sight and no construction works at all. Looks abandoned! I wonder if they can really move back in 2023…
