All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

U can do some simple calculation. 80 hours in 1 year. But there are only how many school days in a calendar year? What sort of PV duties do they have? If like some schools only have traffic warden from 7am-7.30am, half hour slot each time, how many days does each PV need to do in order to clock 80 hours?
I used to do 2-hour PAL slots which were every Friday. Can clock 40 hours for that school. Other PVs who were not free on Fridays had to fight to grab half-day or full-day assignments like lead the House cheers during Sports Day, or be emcee for the annual Teachers’ appreciation lunch, etc.
Try to find out more from the school first. -
Can anyone kindly share if it is easy to get PV at MGS? Can PM me. Asking for consideration for next year. Many thanks in advance

Hi all, newbie here! My twins are 2016 (2023 P1 intake)
I live between 1-2KM for
- St. Andrews Junior School
- St. Gabriels Primary
- Cat. High
Need some help with my questions:
1. Am aware that due to current covid situation, st andrews closed all PV applications, so will only qualify under 2C, will this be a risky choice?
2. I am a catholic but children are not baptised, do they qualify for 2B like this for both St Gabs and Cat High?
3. Better odds at qualifying for 2B Cat high/St gabs or St Andrews 2C? -

CHS - 1-2km zero chance for 2B and 2C
So only left St. Gabs which 2B and 2C 1-2km both sure in. -
Anyone receive NHPS PV interview? If got an interview, is it 100% confirmed selected?

If you have an interview, it means there’s a chance. Interview is for the school to weed out the PV that they do not want.
