2nd half of the year has officially started. So fast hor.. the other day a member mentioned mooncake..later Christmas, spring cleaning, CNY cookies/CNY le.
That's why you feel tired - you anticipate all the work for the next 7 mths! Don't think too far ahead, especially for things that you don't like and can't avoid. Anticipate nice things! Think of the food and friends, not the cooking and cleaning.

I just booked air tickets for a holiday to Rome in November! That's something to look forward to, though I won't be thinking much about it till maybe Sep/Oct. We decided to just block out the dates and book the tickets first.

MrsKS, if finances is not that much of a concern, I strongly recommend that you consider personal tutors for your girls and only for subjects that they really need additional help. That will free up a lot of your travel timing and reduce the need to co-ordinate their timings especially now 1 is in Sec sch and the other still in Pr sch. Maybe that way your time will not be so chopped up and you will be able to focus better on the stuff that you want or need to do.

Also to let go and allow your kids, especially your older one to travel to and from school/external activities on her own. From how you describe your girls they seem sensible with a little street smarts, so think think they should be able to manage their way. A little fumbling here and there but on the whole they will manage.

We are all educated to different extent in different fields. Given my specialisation, I would like to share an old African parable.

A young farmer moves next door to an old one. The old farmer, being richer and with more land, decides to go over to the young farmer's land and burn it so it cannot produce .

The young farmer goes over to the old farmer and kills the old farmer's family. Who has won?
To me, right or wrong, win or lose are not very important to me. The most important to me are my friends. I can be right and won over a debate but lose a friend, then there will be meaningless to me. Without friends, no one accompany me for dinner this evening, no one playing boardgames with me tomorrow and no one talking to me in this forum so I will try my best to build friendship with everyone and not allow myself losing any friends.

But you are giving up “win” craving, for another “friend” craving. Both are still cravings that lead to non peace

Yes, you are correct, whenever my friends gave me up, I was very sad. 😢

Why would anyone give you up? You're a very nice person :snuggles:

I went to town today for lunch with my kid and some errands, dressed like a hobo. But my friend said, \"I cant believe you're wearing berms in the middle of the day!\" My toddler saw all these skyscrapers and said, \"很高!\" I took the chance to introduce the first 成语 to him... 人山人海 😂

Still scared sharing stories of my children. I'm scared people will see it as weakness and attract the wrong 'attention.'

Glad u had a nice day out today. So did I. My first time trying the gelato outside Shaw Lido, can u believe it? It’s been around for ages.

I realized I am sharing less about my family too. You are always welcome to PM me.

That’s the gelato we bring the boys after term exams for bonding. Short distance fr sch, so easier to arrange. Memories still in our hp shots. Pls take lots of pics whenever u go out bonding with yr child.
