mum05, Hi. My four-year-old goes to Art Loft at 8Q. It suits him because he is exposed to different techniques and materials each week. They also visit the art galleries (since Art Loft is situated within SAM) and sometimes they go to other galleries nearby (Handy Road, Mt Sophia).

Hii I did see that Global Art is open in Jurong east now. But sending to CC is cheaper…

However, parents, which do you think teaches really good art ?

Any good CCs to recommend in the East. I’ve been to some & notice the teacher would jus draw a picture & ask the kids to follow which do not suits my dd. If not, any freelance teachers to recommend??

hihi My dd who is 7 years old, has been attending art classes at Artgrainz for the last 2 months and she totally enjoys it. Teachers are great, classes are fun with a different topic each week. We’ve also seen improvements to her art pieces. Jace, the owner is very nice too;-)

                  Hi All,

Seening so many Art School website making me confused.Wondering which is the better one to select & of course suit the budget. I had tried the CC but DS gave up after taking up 1 lesson! The Art Teacher seem like not able to control the whole class as there are different age group.

I'm staying around Redhill area, any Art School can recommend?

                    Hi all,

DD and I am currently attending art lessons at ART SAUCE at SPECTRA (old firestation @ Upper Bt Timah).
                    http://www.theartsaucestudio.com.sg/index.html

I have no art background (art qualification up to Sec 2 only, no 'O' level or 'A' level art). I learnt with my DD cos she likes to do art at home and I want to be able to 'speak the same language' with her and to share a common interest with her. 🙂

The teacher cum owner used to be MOE trained art teacher. She is very patient and encouraging and being a trained art teacher, she is very clear and precise when teaching the various technique like shading, tonal effects, sketching etc.

We enjoy our weekly lesson and this is what we did after 5 lessons. 🙂

What I like about the teacher is that she does not restrict her lessons according to the kids' age but tailor-made her lessons according to the kids' potential and ability.

After 1-2 lessons, she decided that my 9 yr old dd is good enough to learn secondary level art and I am impressed with what my dd can achieve. 🙂

I am impressed with what I have achieved. Haha. I must say both DD and I have produced an artwork beyond our expectation. 🙂
