Is he plain stubborn or ignorant, thinking that MP will solve his problems ??? Can't be bothered about child's education at all :!:
If school is heavily oversubscribed and if staying more than 2km, how can any MP help him ? Give up :stupid:
It's amazing there are parents who behave like this. -
Ignorant plus stubborn.. so I've decided not to get a PHD (permanent head damage from all the :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: ) because of this guy.
What makes me so :x is becoz I really pity his kiddo.. parents simply bo chap no preparation no nothing but wanna 'throw' him into 'HOT' school.. I sure hope his kiddo will not suffer...

sigh...Singaporeans depend and demand too much on external parties. MPs, Police, and other authorities, regulators only do this much for us.
It is sad when we also need MPs' assistance for our children to go to a preferred primary school...when you know that they will surely reject your request...
Know our limits -
I believe only a small minority of Singaporean are like this. Some of us don’t even know who is our MP.

If there are no withdrawals, these 24 schools listed below will be conducting balloting at Phase 2B on Wednesday, 28 July 2010. The schools have informed parents concerned of the balloting time. Parents are welcome to witness the conduct of the balloting. -
My friend who registered her gal at "hot" school (neighbourhood) at Phase 2C. She mentioned that those >1km were rejected immediately. No chance to register at all.

They know for sure that balloting will take place only for <1km. So if they allow your friend to register knowing that she totally has ZERO chance in getting a place i.e. ZERO chance in balloting even... now that is MEAN. At least now she can use her chance in Phase 2C more fruitfully.
And I would strongly suggest you ask your friend to join KSP so that she can view the school P1 registration histories.

Agree. Then there are those who don't do homework and assume that just becos school is downstairs so they can get in. Yet another source of PHD
