      autumnbronze:

... I also tried Schweppes' baked sweet potato chips recipe. They are really yummy, esp if you can get those sweet potatos from Indonesia.
      :hi5: :hi5:

We can even create a 'Lets Lose Weight' thread to cheer each other and share recipes and restaurants that can accomodate your 'special requests' during meal ordering.

      Any takers?

      😄 😄
Count me in!! Started eating healthily this year and signed up for exercise classes at Amore, so am making gradual progress. I think I lost about 3 kg so far. 😉

:rahrah: Yup, this \"Let's Lose Weight\" thread sounds like a great idea!! We need to cheer us fellow sistas on :rahrah:

That is a lot of milk!! WOW really envious of your supply. your babies are so fortunate. what do you attribute it to? genetics? special soups? enough rest?

Naah.. dun think it's genetics, toddles hun. It cud be but guess in my case
can't be cos my mumsie barely had any within the week and gave up. Too
        painful.

I beg to differ on this.

I actually think its your own body structure. Cos i know many mothers, no matter what they do, they just can't get enough supply. Of course, if you have supplies to begin with and don't wanna give, the supply will drop too.

My mummy also got mastisis in the first week and gave up. I got mastisis 5 times and ploughed thru, by God's grace!

My mumsie didn get mastitis at all.

She was just one dry well.
                That's why she gave up.

I had mastitis thrice and boy did i
tell myself each time i'd stop but i
                didn't. 😓

I had fever spikes and boi do those
fresh cabbages from the market help
sooo much with my darn engorged melons.

They were not only huge but hard like rocks.
I was easily mistaken as someone having done
                breast enhancement! :siam:

Most of you very very very lucky to have gained only between 5kg to 20kg.

I won't tell how much i gained cos sure many can make mental calculation. :politebleah:

😞 I was one massive walking dinosaur.

For DD2 my weight prior to delivery was slightly over 75kg!
                  Can you imagine that!

For me, my main weight loss regime after delivering DD1..
was definitely the post-natal stress, blues & freakin' problems
with my MIL! I went back to work stick thin. My colleagues said
my pre-pregnancy clothes were loose on me for someone who juz
                  gave birth!

No extra special diets whatsoever. Just more soups and fruits. I cudn
for the love of my life swallow any essences from any kind. I cud
not stomach the smell what more the taste! :faint: Did the massage and
the wraps. Like autumnbronze, it was pure bliss of those few days..

As for white veggies that cause colic.. i just know it now that someone
mentioned it. But i ate cabbages.. nothing leh. Cabbages are considered
white veggies right? The rest that i do not eat, i use it to calm my melons
from over-growing. The tiring part abt having too much milk is.... really bo
pian. Must express EVERY 3 hourly esp if baby sleep thru the next feeding..
If lazy to get up and do it since baby sleeping anyways... it'd be hard by the
                  time i wake up! 😛

Yah boy buds, really hard like rocks. DH said can give someone orh bak kak if not careful. Then he say must be careful dun wait knock into baby’s head can cos concussion. Irritating.

Since I was on total EBM my whole freezer was filled with milk. Overslept one nite and my PJ top was soaked thru with breastmilk. For most mummies, their milk come in only about 4 days to a week after birth. Me, I started leaking colostrum 1 mth b4 birth. On the day that I gave birth, I was engorged in the evening. With DD, inexperience so did not prepare pump or thot of pumping, while still in hospital. Went home with blocked ducts, luckily manage to clear through pumping and massaging b4 it got worse. With DS, experience liao. Brought my trusty pump along. 4hrs after birth, I was pumping over 100ml of thick yellow colostrum much to the delight the nurses. But hor very wasted cos poured away a lot oso since DS did not drink much the few days of his life.

Hubs said it too but more subtlety to it.. If he dare say anything close to wat
your DH said... :nunchuk: Haaaiyaah! I'd give him a taste of concussion wor! :heresmyfish:

                      Painful hokay!

But yeah.. did look pretty nice and perky huge.

I usually need to change many many breast pads within a day..
So not only do i need to bring the usual pads during outings, breast
pads cannot forget or else.... i'd seriously need to get a new top if we
were to go for our outings. Little bit late in feeds or expressing oni sure
                      leak..

Again all same same... 2nd pregnancy colostrum leaked earlier than 1st wan..
Haiyaah, dis time 3rd round mebbe coming soon oredi. 😛 Sheesh... Not
shiok for ya noe... game nites. :preen:

I had to throw a lot cos no more space to store. When i worked, all throw..
cos the centre doesn have a freezer, only got mini fridge.

Oh yah.. hospital gave me their super duper industrial kind of Medela pump.
Super smooth and painless. That's when i decided to get the portable Medela.
Only difference is the hospital ones got no sound at all. 😛 Unlike the portable.

I gained 17 kg during my first pregnancy, and 12 kg for the 2nd one.

Both i breastfed so went back to prepregnancy weight in about 4-6 months, and 4 more kg later, and was back to my undergraduate days weight!
The secret is to breastfeed. 1st one breastfed till 15 months old, 2nd till 3years old. My kids when they were young, were chubby, probably due to the breast milk, while i kept my weight under control!
