I agree, HCI waitlist is as good as confirmed. Many who applied both RI and HCI will forgo the HCI, so the waitlist will get the slots.
DS schoolmates at least 23 boys got confirmed for RI and msot of them applied HCI also, so most of them should get CO also from HCI. From my understanding, all of them will prefer RI.
GRATZZZ, good day for many parents.
PSLE headache time, starting with Oral tomorrow.

Both are very good schools, but we prefer RI because it is nearer to our house and DS's Chinese is not that good.
I wonder if I call up RI to check what are the ranking criteria of their WLO, would they disclose?
I just re-read beginning of this thread. In the first few pages of this thread, someone said in Sep/Oct 2008 RI wait list only 10% vacancies (I wonder it is still the same?). HCI wait list group 1 is 70 to 80 vacancies, group 2 is less than 50. -

congrats![/quote]HCI is my son's first choice for the last 2 years, and he can walk there in 5 minutes from home
Not sure about the different list of wait list....should have hope, as many have said, many of the kids have offers from RI as well -
