Actually, I think they r trying to std a few. There's CHIJ(Our Lady of Good Counsel), CHIJ (Our Lady of Nativity) n CHIJ (our Lady Queen of Peace) all three got their new names or name change after they got their new Sch buildings thru prime. Probably d other IJ schs may change name aft they go prime. šŸ™‚ or maybe there will not be any change cos the names like IJ (Toa Payoh) n IJ (kellock) r alr household names. Name change may cause confusion or bring down d reputation.

so where is the IJ kelong now ?

i mean the Kellog or Kellock one ?

The CHIJ at Chestnut wasn't given this name. BTW, what is PRIME ?
IJ Kellock and TP are household names now.

PRIME is the acronym for MOE's program of rebuilding the whole school to give it all the latest facilities

Programme for Rebuilding and IMproving Existing Schools (PRIME)

Thanks for your reply. Yup, CHIJ at Chestnut was rebuilt at about the same time as Pei Hwa.

Other than CHIJ St Nicholas which is a SAP school, how is the standard for the rest ? Can mummies care to give their opinions pls ?

              Thanks šŸ™‚
CHIJ (Toa Payoh) is good, the secondary is also good, other than St Nics, I
think, CHIJ Toa Payoh is the second best- but this is just in my opinion as both my girls are there and I hear a lot of good feedback from the other parents too

It's in Bt Purmei, next to St. Theresa Church.

St Nic is SAP school, so it has to be good. But just wondering how CHIJ TP primary is now...left school long time ago and would like to know. My daughter going there next year for P1. Not too stressful and academic focused I hope.

Can I check whether does CHIJ has Cut off points for their P6 students when they go to Secondary School? Or is it a confirm case the sec sch will accept the students of any point that they get in PSLE?

The cut off for express stream for affiliated students is between 200-220. If the kid gets below 200, d Sch will only offer Normal Academic stream to the child if she wants to study in d affiliated sec IJ.

Think d IJ pri schs all hv similar program n std. It is d sec Sch dat has different std wif IJ TPY being the best after St Nics.

I believe the affiliated secondary does have a cut-off for entry into the school...as long as the student meets the minimum criteria for both express or normal.
