Hi Shuting28, called the school. The receptionist said that the school does not conduct open house. ๐Ÿ˜ I asked how do parents learn abt the school's learning environment, programmes, etc. She recommended that we write to the school's generic email (phpps@moe.edu.sg), attn to Mdm Hiew to arrange for a visit. Hope this helps! ๐Ÿ™‚

If u look at NYPSโ€™s stats, it typically conduct balloting for those staying within 1km under phase 2C. So looking at its location in Bt Timah, majority of its students would be residing in those areas, and houses there dont come cheap.

Talk about celebrities, I know that Chen Lipingโ€™s child is also in NYPS this year, heeโ€ฆ

Bukit timah is the haven for good schools. Even bukit timah primary is considered above average.

is it because most residents residing in bt timah area have deeper pockets to give their kids a headstart? ๐Ÿ˜‰

..or maybe these kids were the 'spill-over' from those failling to ballot into all those 'good schools' in the area.. after all I believe these kids would have been well prepared in anticipation to get into those 'good schools'.. logical?? ๐Ÿ˜‰
