Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)

My boy used to go there. Very good, but the class size is HUGE (at the max) cos there's really alot of kids in SK. I remember my boy's class had 12 kids with 1 teacher (the max ratio).Hi, anyone heard about Beijing Language School at Sengkang. Tot of sending my K1 boy for Chinese enrichment cos' he dun really like Chinese and refuse to write. His writing is terrible too.

Thank you.
If you don't mind travelling, you can try Beijing Language School at Punggol Plaza. I transferred my boy over after realising that their intake here is much smaller and my boy had more attention from the teacher and learnt faster. Now there's only 5 of them in his class (it's a weekend class).
Plus I like that they are flexi about make up lessons and even transfer of students from branch to branch was effortless. Just inform them of the date of last lesson at current branch and date of first lesson at the other branch will do. Fees paid will automatically be transferred.
The teachers are all very nice and even the ones who do not teach my boy know my boy and play with him before/after lessons.
My boy is regular there. I signed him up for all the holidays programs this year.
I would say that they are cheap and effective (more effective at Punggol branch due to smaller class size). -

Hi Mrs Wong,
Thank you for your feedback.
Ponggol is not far from my place but SK is nearer and more convenient for me when my hubby is not in town. I will sign him up for SK 1st then monitor the situation.
Best regards,

Hi all,
Currently sourcing for a chinese language enrichment sch for both my kids, girl @ 8 yrs old and boy @ 5 yrs old.
I have heard of Tian Hsia and Berries, but which is more recommeded?
I am staying at the west side, so was thinking of either TianHsia at CCK or Berries @ Bukit Batok CC.
My girl doesn’t hate Chinese but she just don’t like it when i revised chinese with her. She rather do Math or English but not Chinese. My boy shows interest in learning Chinese, so was thinking of puting them in the same school together.
Thank you. -

I’ve recently bought it from dangdang through a spree. It’s a box of 4 DVDs which cost about $7.00. Shipping for this set is only $1 to Singaproe.[/quote]
Hi Greenpink,
May I know which spree u joined?
I joined one spree from SMH forum recently and noticed that they mentioned no DVDs allowed for the spree.
Would like to join one which allow me to order this DVD.
Thanks. -
Hello…
Have anyone heard of the tuition school at CCK who is managed by 梁文福? Have anyone tried out their classes and share their views?
Thank you. -
I am not sure if the parents have have seen the recent televised 华文谁怕谁. This is 相声 performed live on stage and one of the ones I feel is easier to understand. Hope your children can derive enjoyment and good humour from it! It takes a while to load so be patient!

My friend highly recommends Tienhsia. I have no experience with them but that she likes their syllabus and teaching. They are very exam focused and can see results.Hi do you recommend Pri.4 student to enrol with Hans Language Centre or Tienhsia for Chinese writing cum comprehension :?

Just recieved Berries new timetable for 2011, the sad thig is that now they do not offer any replacement or makeup class if it falls on a Public Holiday.
Next year Sunday there are 2 public holiday, meaning that going to lost 2 lessons. Wonder the management would consider any makeup or replacement. Understand in the past Berries use to have replacment or makeup.
