Maybe what ghostz meant was miracle-child can rent a place nearby and actually stay there. Then she can rent out her current place to cover the rental cost? Will save on kid’s travelling time too.

yah, we are also thinking of renting a place and rent out our current place. but very troublesome. firstly, have to find a tenant, then have to find a place nearby to stay. end up, we may have to do renovation.to think of it, headache man.

Registering this year for 2010 intake. What about yours?I dun feel that is the right way to do lor. I mean, if a child genuine staying near to the school who wanted a place there, by renting a place (not actually staying there), you are 'robbing' him/her of a chance of getting a place.
sorry, just a thought cos I would be very angry if my boy can't get a place there because other parents use other method to get in. unless I'm staying in the rented house lah.:!:

Hi, like to seek your good advice, currently my daughter of 5 year old is staying with my parent with my maid. It at bedok and only occupy by my parent. Since n1 and for the past 3 years. My kid been study at a near by kindergartner at bedok. My own place is at sengkang. I would like her to study at bedok for her primary school education.
I intend to rent out 2 rooms of my flat at sengkang and likely my wife will still stay there as her work place is at ang mo kio ave 5.
So can I change my address to my parent place and my wife remains as in sengkang. With both parent different address, can register for my kid’s primary school?
Thanks -
Hi … I also have a question. Is there any minimum period that one needs to stay near a school. what about people who wish to rent a place close to school to improve chances and also allow the child to get used the Primary school environment and then move back to old house. eg. registration is in June 09 for 2010 P1?
thanks -

I think if you rent a place and not stay there but change your IC address to this place, you will be in trouble with the police anyway.
Any good schools near Changi Prison??
